It was a bit too hot for a walk with Lola today, so we swapped it for a pop-in with a little bit of training instead. I have been working with Lola since she was a puppy and it’s so lovely to watch her develop and grow into a happy confident dog💙🐾

Today we worked on luring. Luring is a really effective way of building engagement, strengthening your relationship with your dog, and creating a dog that enjoys working with you. It’s also the foundation for progressing your dog’s obedience, helping them clearly understand the behaviours we’re asking for in a fun, rewarding way.⭐️

Harry the Staffy is a lovely older boy who came into rescue as a stray and was rehomed by . 💙

His new owner has been doing an amazing job with him but reached out for some extra support with Harry’s lead walking and engagement, so he’ll now be joining me for Walk & Train sessions.

Harry is a lively, energetic boy, so we’ve started incorporating cooperative play into his training to make sure his needs are being met and to give him a healthy outlet while building our relationship.

His lead walking has already improved massively after just one session, I can’t wait to see his progress continue throughout his journey. 🐾

Teaching dogs to stay calm and settle in busy, real life environments 🐾

A lot of these dogs would have really struggled in situations like this not too long ago. With consistent training, clear guidance, and confidence building, they’ve learned how to switch off and relax even when there’s plenty going on around them.
