Back in Feb I had to have my beloved horse pts due to resume of an old injury. I am absolutely devastated 💔
So lost without a horse.
For my birthday back in May, I thought I'd treat myself a ride with Lee from Sandford Stables through Dorset countrysides, since then I have done a few rides to blow the cobwebs away galloping through the stunning Dorset Countryside. ❤️

Heatstroke can be life threatening and is always an emergency.

With this current weather, it’s important to be aware of the signs of heatstroke and act quickly if you suspect your pet may be affected.

Signs can include;
* Heavy panting or drooling
* Vomiting or diarrhoea
* Weakness, unsteadiness, collapse or seizures
* A racing heart rate
* Excessive thirst

If you think your pet may have heatstroke;
* Move them to a cool, shaded area
* Begin cooling them with cool water
* Contact your vet immediately

If your pet is being transferred to Cave for emergency treatment, continue cooling them during the journey where it is safe to do so. Air conditioning, and applying cool water to the body can all help to lower body temperature whilst travelling. Do not wrap your pet in cool towels, as this can trap heat and make cooling less effective.
Heatstroke can develop rapidly and affect any pet. Brachycephalic breeds such as bulldogs and pugs, overweight pets, elderly animals, and those with underlying health conditions are at an increased risk. Prevention is key!

Avoid exercising during the hottest parts of the day. Ensure access to fresh water at all times.
