Todays Cheltenham selections

Cheltenham 1-30 Novices/Maiden Chase (Class 1) 20f
Tough old race this one DEFI DU SEUIL has been well touted and as such the price is a little on the skinny side. Willie Mullins has a big chance of landing this REAL STEEL IS also well touted and at 7/1 is the shortest of his runners.
I actually like his other two VOIX DU REVE 10/1 and PRAVALAGUNA 12/1
I’m willing to put my larger bet on the unproven yet very progressive PRAVALAGUNA 12/1

Champers on ice is probably my favourite out of all of them he just looks like a plot horse just the type this stable do really well with.

Cheltenham 2-50 Conditions Chase (Class 1) 21f
This race is super tough with so many top-quality animals. Simply most of these have a chance Footpad has the highest ratings while there are a number of them all similar in class which is going to make an exciting race.
I’m going to go against the grain and back the one horse that looks totally overpriced His last run was good against the clock and when the horse hits form he tends to run constantly for a good few races. He is out at the weights and that may make this really tough but the drying ground will be in his favour. Has course form too and was 2nd in this race a few years ago

All eyes will be on PAISLEY PARK and it would be great for connections to win this. I simply cant live with short prices and because of the attention on this horse its listed as far too short.

Cheltenham 1-30 Novices Hurdle (Class 1) 21f
Initially I looked and from the top two in the market I prefer the claims of BattleOverDoyen. However, the front two are priced right if not a little short so we have to look elsewhere there are such a lot of horses that are outsiders that could improve again yet and I’m sure there are 2 that could well be ready for this challenge. I’m expecting good runs from BRIGHT FORECAST 25/1 Paddy Power. CASTLEBAWN WEST 28/1
Ben Pauling has had a great start to the festival. He’s in top form right now and BRIGHT FORECAST looks primed for a big run. He’s got big field form Yes another step forward is needed but he was trained with today in mind. 1 point e/w
CASTLEBAWN WEST 28/1 is the Mullins second string but he looks progressive to me and comes out better on the clock then his stablemate. I like the profile overall and I think he too should out run his odds. Half a point e/w
Cheltenham 2-10 Novices/Maiden Chase (Class 1) 24f
All the money is for the top 2 in the betting and both look to have big chances DELTA WORK and SANTINI I prefer delta work out of them even though the money is currently with santini. It’s likely that Detla will firm up in the market and win convincingly. From the Out siders look out for big runs from THE WORLDS END 22/1 and ON THE BLIND SIDE 12/1 infact these horses mentioned could easily fill the first 3 places. Connections of The worlds end have a quiet confidence of a big run.

Tully east was successful for us at this venue 2 years ago after being one of our horses to follow that year. A return to the track may spark a revival hes 25/1 which looks fair enough. Another of our horses to follow this year was BRIO CONTI he hacked up at Ascot after a patchy season and is primed for this his Target race 11/1 looks fair. I also like the claims of DANCING ON MY OWN at 14/1

This is all about whether you think ALTIHOR will win. We certainly think MIN has a great chance of turning over the favourite 4/1 looks a very fair price Ordinary World may well do best of the rest and at a big price

Wow they don’t come tougher than this. Tiger Roll is far too short for us so we have to pass him over. Im going for a couple of each way plays
TEAFORTWO is one of my favourite horses in training. He’s tough and determined and quite talented on his day. He’s not achieved as much as connections would have hoped but he has ran some good races. I think they really deserve a big success with this fella
22/1 looks ok for a small bet
One I like that bit more in terms of giving his running is FACT OF THE MATTER at 16/1 The horse isn’t as well in at the weights, but I think he has improved again and can do well here. Think he will put in a big run and should be there about.

Joseph O’brian Holds a pretty strong hand In this race with 3 runners including the favourite.
But this race is the one that throws up some big winners with 9 of the last 10 being 25/1 plus
We have a couple of outsiders we like
GOT TRUMPED got beaten by some nice horses last time but still has the potential to land a race of this nature. He is certainly the one who was pitched in the deepest and that last race was hot. 25/1 looks a decent each way play
CHIEF JUSTICE 33/1 was also in that race I think today we could see how good that race was. I think it looks underestimated form.
Oi the clubb oi’s for ian Williams this horse has been progressive, and connections are hoping for a really big run today 33/1
