FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE 🌧️

Good morning everyone! 🤍

💌 MESSAGES
I’ll be replying to all of my messages throughout the day. Some will be answered this morning, and I’ll reply to more throughout the day whenever I can between work. If I don’t get chance while I’m out working, they’ll be answered this afternoon. All messages will be replied to by the end of today. 🤍

FULLY BOOKED TODAY
I am fully booked today and unfortunately have no room for any extra walks or bookings.

PLEASE ALLOW FOR DELAYS
With all this rain, please allow a little extra time around your dog’s booking today. If the dogs get covered in mud, I need to make sure they’re dried off properly before heading to my next booking, which can take a little while.

I’ll absolutely do my best to get everywhere on time, but if I am running slightly behind, please bear with me. Your dog will always be my priority and I’ll get to them ASAP. 🤍

RAINCOATS
If you have a raincoat for your dog, please leave it out for me today if you’d like me to use it to help keep them nice and dry.

I do also have a few raincoats in different sizes, but whether one fits depends on the size of your dog.

AFTERNOON AVAILABILITY 🎀

My diary is filling up SO quickly at the moment! To the point where by the middle of the week, I’m already nearly fully booked for the following week 😭

I’m now having to book people in a week ahead by Wednesday to make sure they get the walks and times they need.

I do still have some AFTERNOON SLOTS AVAILABLE, including a few later afternoon slots on certain days, but they are going VERY quickly.

So if you already know what walks you’ll need for next week, please get in touch as soon as you can so I can get you booked in and make sure you don’t miss out!

I’d hate for anyone to leave it until the last minute and then find I no longer have the availability they need.

Happy September to all of my wonderful clients who are continuing to support me and be amazing.

We’re going to have a little recap of what we got up to in September 2025. Have a look through to see your doggies when they first started walking with me, all their lovely faces and a few Halloween costumes being introduced.

Just a few little updates for everyone! 🎀

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY
I’ll be hopping on this afternoon to catch up on some admin, but as it’s a bank holiday, I’ll be taking a slightly slower/shorter working day today. Please bear with me if replies are a little slower than usual!

💌 INVOICES
Invoices will be going out this afternoon, so please keep an eye out for yours and have them paid by Wednesday.

If you need a little longer to pay, that’s absolutely fine - just message me and let me know so we can sort it!

WALKS REMINDER
If you want your dog walking, PLEASE MESSAGE ME FIRST! 🐾

It’s becoming really hard to keep on top of messaging everyone individually to book in walks. Walks are first come, first served, and I don’t want you to miss out!

Please message me first to get booked in, rather than waiting for me to message you on Sunday or having me message everyone late on Sunday trying to fill spaces. This makes it much easier for me to keep track of bookings and make sure everyone gets a space where possible.

🏆 BEST IN SHOW!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the season. Coco has done us so proud!

🐾 We Tried Digby’s Enrichment Room… and You Need to Book Yourself In! 🐾

I’ve been wanting to try Digby’s Enrichment Room for a while now, so this weekend I finally took Coco and Rafferty — and honestly, we absolutely loved it!

For just £10, you get 40 minutes in the enrichment room, and I picked up some tasty treats from the shop to hide around the room. There were lots of different places to pop treats, from little cubby holes to high and low spaces, giving the dogs plenty to sniff, search and problem-solve!

For the full 40 minutes, Coco and Rafferty were busy working away to find every last treat, and afterwards… they were absolutely zonked!

It genuinely brought out a side of Coco I’ve never really seen before. Watching her use her nose and figure out where the treats were hidden was so interesting, and she was brilliant at searching both high and low!

The staff were also amazing. They explained everything we needed to know, made us feel really welcome, and then left us to enjoy the room at our own pace. 🤍

Why enrichment is so important?

One thing I’m really passionate about within my business is making sure the dogs in my care aren’t just getting physical exercise, but also opportunities for appropriate mental stimulation too.

Through my qualifications in Animal Management, Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and Animal Business Management, I’ve learned just how important it is to understand the individual dog in front of you. Every dog is different, and their needs can vary depending on factors such as their breed, age, personality and energy levels.

A good walk can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation, especially when dogs are given opportunities to sniff and explore. But enrichment activities, such as scent games and food puzzles, can be another brilliant way to engage a dog’s brain and give them something enjoyable to focus on.

This is something I often incorporate into my pet sitting too! After a walk, rather than simply handing a dog a treat, I may use an enrichment mat or activity to give them something to work on. It’s a lovely way to add another layer of stimulation to their day and can help them settle afterwards.

Of course, enrichment isn’t a replacement for exercise, training or appropriate care — but it can be a really valuable part of a dog’s routine.

That’s why, when I take on a dog or breed I’m less familiar with, I always make sure to do my research and learn more about what may suit that individual dog best. There is so much more to caring for someone’s dog than simply putting a lead on and going for a walk and letting them off and I truly believe it’s important to put that extra thought and care into every dog I look after.

And honestly, if you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day when getting out isn’t an option, or you simply want to try something new with your dog, I couldn’t recommend Digby’s Enrichment Room enough!

We’ll definitely be making this part of Coco’s routine, and I can’t wait to take her back!

Here’s what our pupils can look forward to…

📚 Pup Report Cards
Because you deserve to know what your doggy has been like on their walk! You’ll get to see what they’ve been up to, who they made friends with and what adventures they enjoyed that day.

🎨 Puppy Painting Sessions
Yes, you heard that right! Your dog can bring home their very own masterpiece on special occasions, including Halloween, Christmas and Easter. There’s always something fun going on!

📸 School Pictures
Of course, we have props for every season! Your pup can have their picture taken dressed up and looking adorable, giving you the cutest memories to look back on. 🥹

🧩 Fun Adventures & Enrichment
Weather permitting, if it’s a little too miserable outside – or even too nice and warm – we can enjoy enrichment sessions instead, keeping everyone busy and entertained. Think of it as rainy-day play in the classroom!

🦮 Walks, Socialising & Making New Friends
Don’t you want your dog to make some new friends? Our walks are full of adventures, sniffing, exploring and socialising!
