❗️NEW DIAGNOSTIC SERVICE❗️
After keeping a secret fo a few weeks now… We are very excited to introduce our latest tool: Equine Excuse Analysis (EEA)
Using advanced behavioural algorithms, we can now accurately identify whether your horse:
- Can’t do the work
- Won’t do the work
- Or simply can’t be bothered.
Each report provides a full breakdown of your horse’s most commonly used excuses, including:
- ”The ground feels weird”
- ”That leaf moved”
- ”I forgot how to trot”

📊Early findings show 87% of horses display symptoms only when asked to work harder.

Appointments available from April 1st.
(Please note: horses with a strong sense of drama may show exaggerated results)👀

On the 22nd of February, Sofia, the daughter of former Chine House partner John Coope and Nottingham Vet Student, Chota, will be running the Leicestershire Half Marathon🏃‍♀️
They’re raising money for Parkinsons, in memory of John Coope. He really loved running and spent so much of his time doing it while he still could.

If you can donate or even just share, it would mean a lot. Thank you so much.

EOTRH in horses 🐴🦷
•What is it?
EOTRH (Equine Odontoclastic Tooth Resorption and Hypercementosis) is a dental condition that affects mainly the incisors and canine teeth of older horses.
•Cause: The exact cause is still unknown, but it’s likely multifactorial (a mix of different factors).
•Treatment: currently, the most effective treatment is extraction of the affected teeth.
This is usually done under standing sedation with local anaesthetic.
•Recovery:
-Extraction sites can look quite dramatic at first, but they usually heal within weeks.
-Horses cope very well and return to their normal routine and level of work quickly.
-Some horses may let their tongue hang slightly after surgery – this is purely cosmetic and doesn’t cause them problems.
-Looking ahead: We hope our understanding of EOTRH will continue to improve over the coming years.

Thank you to the owners who’ve allowed us to share their horses’ photos.
We’d also love to hear how other horses are getting on after EOTRH treatment 💬🦷

This patient underwent general anaesthetic to have a large cyst removed from his upper lip. In this case, the cyst was sent off to an external lab for further evaluation. Watch till the end for the pop!
