Lead Walks with Jo - walks Wolves 🐺

I've been on holiday in the Lake District and whilst I was there, I had the incredible opportunity of walking these 3, absolutely stunning wolves 🐺❤️ Their names are Cheveyo, meaning "spirit warrior," Chalok, meaning "of the earth," and Chitali, meaning "shooting star."

The whole experience was out of this world, as being allowed into the wolves 🐺 space, even for just a short period of time was just phenomenal ! The owners, who run Predator Park - Dee and Daniel, were there the whole time, as these animals 🐺 are not pets ! Dee and Daniel have a deep understanding of wolf 🐺 behaviour, evolution, physiology and conservation. It’s not just about being close to the wolves 🐺 — it’s about understanding them, their natural instincts, their communication, and their role in the natural world. They have the utmost respect for these animals and everything has to be on the wolves 🐺 terms !

This wasn't just a fantastic day out - it was an emotional and truly unforgettable experience - as you can see from my photos !

I'd love to introduce you to Ness and Lynx, two gorgeous pups I've had the pleasure of walking for the past week. Ness is a really sweet, sensitive soul, who's very nervous around new people. Her buddy Lynx — a golden Labrador — is the complete opposite. He's friendly, confident, and, in his owner’s words, totally bomb proof!

The walks this week have been fab ! Lots of waggy tails, reading newspapers (sniffs 🤣) and eating chocolate drops (rabbit droppings 🤣) Perfect 🤣 ❤️🐾🦮🐾❤️ 🦮🐾

I have been looking after Gracie and Gunner this afternoon ❤️ Gracie's nervous around people that she doesn't really know and it has taken me many months to get to this point, as today, she jumped up next to me on the garden swing and wanted lots and lots of fuss ❤️ It was just magical and I think that you can see that my face says it all !! 😀 Gunner (liver and white spaniel) is still a puppy, full of life and he loves everyone and everything and is such a happy boy ❤️ Lots of photos of such a wonderful afternoon spent with these two 🐶❤️🐾🐶❤️🐾🐶❤️🐾🐶❤️🐾🐶❤️🐾🐶🐾❤️🐶🐾❤️

A lead walk with my anxious pup this afternoon. We did meet other dogs (her trigger) but walking in this type of environment, meant that I was able to give her the space that she needed, which worked really, really well ❤️🐾

Here are the dogs I had the pleasure of walking and also visiting at home this week. Each walk brought something a little different, from easy-going strolls, to playful bursts of energy and even a dip in a beautiful stream 😊🐾

The home visits with the spaniels - Gracie and Gunner, were filled with food enrichment games in the garden and Gracie, the nervous pup, chose to stay outside, relaxed and happy in my company, which meant the world to me ❤️ These moments remind me why I love what I do ❤️ 🐾 😊 🐾 🦮 ❤️

Hot weather alert - Thursday and Friday ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

I will be doing home visits rather than walks on these days. My priority is ensuring that every dog in my care is kept cool, safe and comfortable ♥️ 🐾🐾 😊 🐶 🐾🐾 😊 🐾 🐕 🐾 😊🐾🐾

Hot Weather ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ = Extra Care for Your Pup 🐾🦮🐾

As the temperatures climb, your dog’s safety and comfort come first, which means that I will need to decide what kind of walk, or activity, makes the most sense for the rest of this week.

On really hot days, that might mean:
• Earlier walks
• Shorter outings
• Shadier routes
• Garden visits or fun enrichment play instead of a full walk

Why am I doing this? Because hot surfaces can burn paws and dogs, especially flat-faced breeds, seniors, and pups, can overheat way quicker than we do.
