Hill Farm is a stone's throw from Corbet Wood and Grinshill, with scenic walks and cycle routes, graced by stunning views of the nearby Hawkstone Park, Shropshire Hills and Welsh mountain peaks. This beautiful area is famous for its ancient mines and natural stone production, and is a worldwide discovery site for dozens of Megaliths, dating as far back as 7000 BC. Your walks can start from the doo
rstep, through woodland, following the Shropshire Way. The self-catering accommodation at Hill Farm is run by Louise Worthington who writes in her spare time (https://louiseworthington.com)
The picturesque village of Clive rests eight miles from historic Shrewsbury. There is a local shop and pub in Hadnall, two miles away, and a train station in Yorton, a mile from Hill Farm. Bikes can be stored at no extra charge. We purchased the shepherd's hut as new in 2023. It has a double bed, kitchen and ensuite. The studio (sleeps 2) within the farmhouse is a more recent addition to the main property, which is about 400 years old and built from stone from the local quarry. The most recent developments are a self-catering cottage and a family room with separate entrance. There are 50 acres of fields around the property, and the property is set down a long drive.
