One thing about Bull Terriers, they don't do anything by halves. Whether it's charging around like a lunatic, supervising every snack you eat, or falling asleep in the most dramatic position possible, it's always 100%.

This lad has spent the afternoon perfecting the art of the power nap, complete with the classic Bull Terrier face-covering technique. Apparently the world is just too much today. I know the feeling, Bully 😆

I always say bull breeds have some of the biggest personalities going. One minute they're making you laugh, the next they're snoring away like they've just finished a 12-hour shift down the pit.

Safe to say someone's feeling very relaxed and right at home. ❤️

🚨 Birthday girl alert 🚨

Maple is 2 today! 🎉❤️

Now, I'm not entirely convinced she knows it's her birthday, but she definitely knows she's getting extra attention... and judging by the tutu and birthday bandana, she's absolutely embraced the role.

One minute she's a sweet, wrinkly little Shar Pei wanting cuddles, the next she's charging about like she's had three espressos and a motivational speech. 😂

She's got that perfect mix of friendly, goofy, sassy and slightly chaotic that keeps everyone smiling, and it's been lovely getting to spend time with her.

So here's to Maple on her second birthday. More adventures, more treats, more mischief, and hopefully many more opportunities to dress up and pretend she isn't secretly loving every minute of it.

Bully would sit like this until next Tuesday if I let him 😂

No personal space. No boundaries. Just a Bull Terrier slowly working his way closer and closer until his face is under your chin and you're trapped.

Not that I'm complaining.

For all the daft things they do, one of my favourite things about Bull Terriers is how affectionate they are with the people they trust. They act silly, then five minutes later they're trying to become part of your skeleton.

He's an absolute cracking lad ❤️ It's a little bit bittersweet at times because Bully is pure white, just like my lovely old Casper was, and he has many of the same little traits. Being a world-class cuddler is definitely one of them.
Every Bull Terrier is different, but every now and then he does something that reminds me of Casper and makes me smile. ❤️

Lulu’s spent her birthday doing what all self-respecting schnauzers do best… acting like the ice cream might disappear if she doesn’t inhale it fast enough 😂

The intense concentration while eating it, is pure schnauzer behaviour. Tiny dog, massive opinions.

You can actually see the exact moment Bully decided that apple belonged to him 😂

Just stood there absolutely locked onto it… ears up, little wonky bull terrier face on full concentration mode, staring at me like “you gonna finish that or what?”

Then next minute… crunching away on a bit of apple like he’s won the lottery 🍎

These dogs are something else. They act like they’ve never been fed in their life but at same time are weirdly polite about it. Just the intense staring and silent judgement until you crack.

Wouldn’t change 'em for the world though ❤️

English Bull Terriers are known for many things… selective hearing being one of them 😂

But Bully’s recall is getting better day by day and I’m so proud of him. Even when he’s busy sniffing, mooching or doing his little “I’m pretending I can’t hear you” trot off… one calm “Bully, come” and straight back he comes 🖤

No panic, no charging about, just calm, confident check-ins and trusting the process. That’s what good recall is really about.

People sometimes think training has to be loud or strict, but with dogs like Bully, consistency, patience and building that relationship goes a long way. Especially with clever, stubborn little characters like bull breeds 😎

He’s an absolute joy to have around and he’s making progress every single day 🐾

Every morning without fail, Bully does his little breakfast howl and dance like he’s been starved for weeks 😂

As soon as he hears me moving about in the kitchen, that’s it… the noises start. A dramatic little woo-woo howl, tippy-tappies across the floor, and a full-on wiggly Bull Terrier dance routine, all while staring at me like I’m personally ruining his life by taking more than three seconds to serve breakfast.

They are such crackers of a breed. So much personality packed into one dog. You never just “own” an English Bull Terrier… they fully run the house and keep you entertained all day long 🥲❤️

One little finger click and Bully comes charging back like “yes boss, I’m here” 😎

I absolutely love seeing recall build with dogs because it’s not about being strict or “dominating” them — it’s trust, consistency and making coming back to you the best part of the walk. And for a breed that people often misunderstand, Bullies really are incredibly tuned in when you build that bond with them ❤️

Also the dramatic stomp-run back to me is peak English Bull Terrier energy and I won’t hear otherwise 😂

FUN FACTS ABOUT ENGLISH BULL TERRIERS 🤍🐾

• They’re basically toddlers in dog suits with the strength of a small tank.
• That egg-shaped head? Completely unique to the breed 😎
• Bull terriers are known for the “Bullie stare” where they silently judge you until snacks appear.
• Despite looking tough, most are giant clowns that think they’re lap dogs.
• They’re ridiculously stubborn… but also ridiculously loving.
• If you own one, personal space no longer exists. Ever. 😂
• They have one of the biggest personalities in the dog world and somehow manage to be chaotic and adorable at the same time.

Bull breeds often get judged before people get to know them, but anyone who’s spent time around a well-loved bully knows they’re some of the funniest, most loyal and affectionate dogs going ❤️
