Every detail is a top priority, from Nutrition making sure these horses that come to us with Metabolic issues or other health requirements are getting all there nutritional needs met to aid them to a healthier life. We have an incredible Vet Phoenix Equine which we work closely with giving the horses all the necessary treatment options available. Our Physio Helen Tompkins Veterinary Physiotherapy visits the yard regularly, for the horses treatments and helps set rehab and exercise programs which is invaluable to us. To keep there feet in top condition Cameron Brady DipWcf is with us every 5 to 6 weeks and covers any remedial needs. Does your Horse or Pony suffer with EMS, Laminitis, COPD, CPL, Cushings?

SL Equestrian is based in North Devon on a quiet professionally run yard which has excellent facilities that are designed to specialise in rehabilitation and aid recovery with owners living on site.

Our purpose-built facility enables us to work closely with a team of professionals to provide a structured, yet home from home environment helping horses and ponies thrive, whilst giving owners reassurance and peace of mind.

The yard is designed to include soft bark areas of grass free turnout year-round which aids recovery and enables your horse or pony the freedom to relax with their friends in a calm peaceful environment. In addition to the yard facilities, a tailored dietary and rehabilitation plan is designed for every horse or pony’s individual needs.

Have you tried everything and everywhere but cannot find suitable livery or care to suit your horse or pony needs?

Do you struggle to find suitable livery or a place where your horse can rehabilitate with 5-star knowledgeable care at an affordable realistic price?

Would you consider relocating your horse or pony temporarily if you thought they would make a full recovery and have the chance to live a long, happy, pain free life?

At SL Equestrian, we offer 5-star care and work with a fantastic team of vets, farrier, and physio. We work hard to give your horse or pony the best chance of a recovery.

Please do get in touch if you’d like more info on how we may help.

To receive these kind of testimonials means absolutely everything to me. I feel lucky to have been able to help Kate Finnie, Kev and the wonderful Dave in his rehab journey. It’s a real team effort to get the best results and as a yard I feel incredibly lucky to have these professionals around me. Phoenix Equine Helen Tompkins Veterinary Physiotherapy Cameron Brady DipWcf

It started as a very cold, lonely and unsupported 3 months for us in Derbyshire, and feeling desperately sad, anxious and concerned for Dave.

I knew of the work that Sophie does and we had a long telephone conversation. From that conversation, we knew that Sophie was the best person to help Dave have the best chance of a full recovery and we had every confidence in Sophie to take Dave into her care.

Yes, we travelled 260 miles. And YES, it was the best decision we ever made!

Not only is Sophie, warm, caring, and understanding, she has made us feel included every step of the way.

The care is 5 star, the team of vets, farrier, physio & master saddler that Sophie has selected to work with are the best professionals and have also communicated with us directly.

We would also like to thank all of the other liveries on the yard for making us feel so welcome and showing Dave so much kindness.

We hope this gives others hope that there is a way forward with the right care and support ❤️

Second session for Sid yesterday with Helen Tompkins Veterinary Physiotherapy using Winback therapy working on a higher frequency now he’s getting used to the sensation. These sessions are activating the motor points on the muscles in the hind quarter region to try and bring all the muscles into equal firing patterns at the same time as running radio frequency current through the SI joint.
