Rosie finds new people, other dogs and vet visits quite stressful but she has managed to have her vaccine calmly and confidently.

With support from Sophie, one of our veterinary nurses, and her confidence clinics, Rosie’s owners have been working on a plan to help her feel more relaxed. They’ve muzzle trained her, practised a new vaccine routine using a toy instead of food and today we held the appointment in the garden to give her more space.

Rosie has also been on a pain relief trial to check for any ongoing discomfort from past injuries. Since starting this, her owners have noticed a big improvement in her behaviour so we’ll be looking into that further.
This was a brilliant team effort between Sophie, Rosie and her dedicated owners. We’re so proud of the progress she’s made.

Flora is completing her surgical certificate, and she did a fantastic job at a stitch up on a patient called George. She was methodical and is such a talented surgical nurse!!

𝗥𝗼𝘅𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆.
These two are inseparable at home, so it only felt right to keep them together here too. We made sure their bookings matched so they could spend the day side by side, which made them much more relaxed and happy.
This is exactly what our Positive Pet Initiative is about – making those little adjustments that help pets feel safer and more comfortable when they come to see us.🐾

Did you know that each unit of donated canine blood can help save up to four other dogs’ lives? 🐾

This is made possible by separating the donation into different components (red cells and plasma), meaning one donor can support multiple patients in need.

Blood products are a vital resource in emergency and critical care but demand is steadily rising. Hosting donation sessions helps ensure that practices like ours, and yours, have access to the blood products our patients rely on.

Alberta – GPCert Diagnostic Imaging
We’re thrilled to share that Alberta has been awarded her General Practitioner Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging – a fantastic achievement that reflects her hard work and dedication.
Alberta is happy to take internal referrals for abdominal ultrasound scans and echocardiography. Where the rota allows, we also encourage referring vets to attend scans of their own cases for some hands-on experience and continuity of care.
Emma – GPCert Computed Tomography
We’re equally delighted to announce that Emma has been awarded her General Practitioner Certificate in Computed Tomography, adding to her Advanced Practitioner Diagnostic Imaging status.
This marks an exciting step towards interpreting more CT images internally. Emma is also happy to provide same-day initial responses to CT images and will be working with the Sevenoaks team on follow-up diagnostics.

Snoopy took his role as assistant very seriously! 💻
He hopped onto nurse Molly’s lap to help out while she was writing up her notes.
We think he made an excellent supervisor but he may have been more interested in cuddles than computers! 💜
