Training of the bigger type this morning! Positive reinforcement does not just work to help our dog friends. 🐴

Barney has been with me for 4 years and was purchased as a companion for my ridden girl. He unfortunately didn’t have the best start to life and due to previous trauma is a nervous boy overall. After allowing time to just be, build a relationship and realise he is safe we are now starting to do a little bit of work together both on the ground and ridden. One thing that Barney can be unsure of is extra pressure so today we spent a short session building our verbal cues so he can both stop and walk on with my voice alone! 🖤

Lovely first session with gorgeous Miley and her family! 😍 Over the next few months we will be working on desensitisation towards the hoover and the kids playing, to aim for calmer behaviours around the home! It was lovely to see already some fantastic steps forward, and even better, the full family getting involved with the process! Well done all! 🤩👏

We have just two spaces left to join our latest puppy class starting Saturday 3rd May at Springfield Dog Care.

Running over 6 consecutive weeks, the classes cover discussions and problem solving on all those tricky puppy areas, introductions to many different skills and correct socialisation.

Tonight’s Puppies!! 😍

Tonight the gorgeous Teddy, Coco and Mabel all graduated their puppy classes. Throughout the last six weeks they have all made huge progress and have aced so many different skills which will set them up for life. Well done to all! 🤩👏

‘When mum rudely needs you to work as a stooge dog on the windiest day!’ 😂

One of todays sessions was window reactivity, something that is often hard to practice in quieter places without training ‘set ups’. Lovely Luna! 😍 Today we had our second session with lovely Luna and her family. Luna is still new to her family and is already settling in amazingly and doing a great job with her training so far. She is young, extremely loveable and very eager to learn! I feel both parties have landed on their feet finding one another and I am so grateful to be part of their journey in building a forever life together! ❤️

Tonight we had our latest recruits to our puppy classes and welcomed Kaiser, Skye, Sherman and Ralphie! What an absolute beautiful bunch and already doing some fantastic work in what is always a very exciting week one! I cannot wait to see their progress over the next 6 weeks! ☺️🐾

Clever Monty!! 👏

This morning we took Monty’s training into the park, an environment he would have previously struggled in. Monty is a fun, loving cavalier who can’t quite understand why everyone (dog or human) wouldn’t want to say hello and appreciate his beauty. Of course, due to this walks can become difficult and Monty becomes easily frustrated, resorting in lunging and barking.

After a few training foundations at home, and setting him up for success whilst out, he not only smashed seeing multiple dogs, he also voluntarily chose to sit down and watch without any tension whilst they passed by! Well done little guy!! Super proud of you! 😍

On Monday we got to meet gorgeous Milo and his family for his initial consultation before starting a new behaviour plan. Milo is a rescue boy who is doing a great job settling in but does struggle around certain triggers. Over the next few months we will be working alongside him and his family to help build his confidence and make those daily outings a little more enjoyable for everyone! 🤎

🎉 Exciting Announcement 🥳

As some of you may already know I have been working hard behind the scenes to further my knowledge once again. I am so excited to officially share the news that I am now a Certified Separation Anxiety Behaviour Consultant with

Separation anxiety is one of the most complex and misunderstood behaviour issues, and with so much unsuitable information shared it can be impossible for owners to know where to begin. This is exactly why I decided to specialise in this subject, so I could offer real and effective support to help dogs feel more comfortable being left alone, and provide the guidance owners need to help achieve this.

With this certification I will now be offering Separation Anxiety Training as a new service. There will be various options to suit all requirements and these will be updated on my website in the next few days!

In the meantime, if anyone does have any questions regarding the plans available or how I can be of any help to you, just pop me a message! 🐶🐾

Last nights graduates! 🎓🥳🐾

Last night we said a massive well done to our latest class graduates! Our puppies, Arthur, Maggie, Harley and Akela, all of who have done amazing with their families and made huge progress over the last 6 weeks! And finally our adult dogs Mac and Nellie who have both achieved badges with levels and did some fantastic work together to end their course! Well done all and keep up the good work! Another lovely session with gorgeous Zsa Zsa on Saturday morning. Over the last few months we have put full focus on building up Zsa’s confidence towards the outside world. Safe to say she is absolutely flourishing and is really starting to keep calm even when around and passing her biggest triggers! Well done little lady! 👏 For me, this is why I do this job. Working with reactive dogs is not about achieving perfection. Instead it should be about opening up the world to being a safe place for both the dog and their owners to enjoy positively together! 🩷

Our ever popular puppy and 6 month+ classes are back available to book on SATURDAYS, starting back on the 3rd May!! These will still be taking place at Springfield Dog Care in Burn which means we will be back outdoors just in time for the sun to return!! ☀️
