Desi is an 8yr old ex racehorse who came in for schooling to be bought back into ridden work following time off after having veterinary and physio treatment for sacroiliac pain. Prior to this he was showing signs of discomfort and unwanted behaviour in his ridden work. Desi spent the first two weeks here being long reined over poles and hacked and then the third week we introduced the schooling. The first few clips of me in the blue body warmer show desi the first time he was sat on in the school and as you can see he was short striding, relunctant to go forwards, stiff and hollow. The second clip of me in the purple coat shows him after he’s had about four short sessions in the school. You can see how much happier he is. Forward, Longer stride, more supple and drawing to the contact. So pleased with his progress. Still a long way to go as he’s still got a lot of strength to build but so far he’s proving to be a super star! Well done desi. Keep up the hard work ❤️
