What Reggie lacks in size, he certainly makes up for in ‘Attatooood’ 🐶👊🏻

From the get go this little Dude knew exactly what he wanted from his trip - to focus and get his weekly steps in!!! 😅
My word, he was focused beyond belief! On a bloomin’ mission!!! 😲
I honestly believe we would still be out there now if he’d had his own way!!! 😆🤣

I’m absolutely loving the variety of dogs I’ve had booked in for trips so far 😍
Being a Veterinary nurse means I know a great deal about many breeds but this business is fast becoming a fantastic learning curve for me in which I’m gaining a greater understanding on each breed’s lovely little personalities and the exercise requirements they need ☺️

Thank you to all that have booked in so far and those that have supported me by sharing posts and following 🥹🙏🏻❤️###

I was so chuffed that Izzy and Fern’s Mam booked them in for another Trail Trip 🥹💓

These girls just love their adventures and after seeing how much they enjoyed running at Hamsterley last time, I decided to add more running into their Weardale trip today 😊

This route was the one I was doing with my own dogs when I decided to start my business 🤩 The route is packed with an assortment of stimulating environments - meadows, rivers, woodland and moorland .. perfect for adventurous breeds like these gorgeous girls 💪🏻🐶

We ran, hiked, splashed, practiced recall and did some training in climbing stiles, managing kissing gates and walking sensibly downhill to save breaking Elaine’s ankles! 😅🤓✌🏻

Taking two very tired and content doggies home to their Mam was a lovely end to a very fun and enjoyable day ☺️🙏🏻

Whether to use flea and tick prevention is purely an owner’s personal choice but I massively advise that all doggies undertaking a Trail Dog adventure with me have been treated with a veterinary strength treatment 💊🙏🏻
The countryside locations I frequent on my trips are prevalent with these blood sucking mini beasts from hell and with all the little noses sniffing into the exciting smelly undergrowth it’s the perfect opportunity for the horrible nasties to hop on and take a snack! Bleughhhh!! 🕷️🤢
I cannot recommend a treatment to you because of all the advertising rules blah blah, but if you’ve purchased a treatment from your vet I can guarantee you’ll have something effective 🙅🏼‍♀️🦟🕷️🪰

The weather is warming up which means flea and tick season is upon us!
We now offer a whole year of protection with one injection against fleas and ticks!
Please call us on 01325 465371 for more information or to book an appointment.
Put your mind at rest and keep your pet protected!

Meet my pets 😊

💜Willow💜

Willow is a 20 month old working cocker spaniel and has been with me since she was 8 weeks old.
If Willow was a person she most definitely would be a tomboy with ADHD! 😆 She is a fluffy whirlwind of crazy energy and cannot sit still for one minute!! 🐶💥
She has turned into the most beautiful and loving little creature who shows her love to me by following me around the house and lying on my feet .. I often catch her watching me with the most gorgeous inquisitive gaze 🥹💓

Willow lives for exercise and her most favourite place to go is Wolsingham in Weardale where I have a route which allows her over 2hours of off lead fun. Here she can fulfill all her spaniel needs of exploring the countryside with its exciting smells - the enthusiasm she shows on her walks is so lovely to see ☺️🙏🏻

Like her spaniel big brother Kes, Willow loves all food but nothing more than a dead and rotten animal that she might be lucky enough to find on a country adventure 🤢🤮 .. She also enjoys the comical chase as it’s attempted to be retrieved!! 😅🤣

Willow has a beautiful nature and loves all people but she has developed a frustrating habit of barking at unfamiliar people and dogs when out on walks … her training is ongoing 🤞🏻

Willow is in love with Ace but despite her continuous attempts of flirting the love seems to be unrequited 😂🤣

Willow has fallen into place in the Alsop household perfectly and without doubt totally rules the roost! 😅
She has already walked/hiked hundreds of miles in Scotland, Yorkshire, The Lake District and local home trails and now that she’s a big girl, has started to enjoy some canicross style running which she’s a natural at 😎

Isn’t she a gorgeous girlie 💖

Meet my pets 😊

🖤Ace🖤

Ace is a 6 year old collie from a working farm in Tadcaster and has been with me since he was 8 weeks old.

My bond with Ace is extremely close and special due to the fact he came into my life at a very difficult chapter and has helped me beyond words.

During lockdown for over 6 months we ran a half marathon together every other day on the local trails to keep me sane when I couldn’t see my loved ones. During this time he would be my little therapist, listening to all my problems and providing a furry shoulder to cry on .. in fact he still does from time to time ❤️

Ace has a HUGE fear of bikes! Not the usual collie style of chasing the wheels but a deep set fear that makes him want run away and hide, sometimes seeing cyclists from miles off causing him to race back to the car! As you can imagine this makes walking very difficult and walks have to be chosen wisely whilst always remaining vigilant to try and spot them before he does! His training is ongoing 🤞🏻

Ace is a softy at heart to those that know him but his collie intelligence makes him super wary of strangers. I trust him with myself implicitly but I always advise new people to approach him slowly and cautiously until he feels safe 🙏🏻

Ace loves all walks but his favourite place is Castle Eden Dene where he enjoys running through the trees at crazy speed and retrieving stickies from the river 🐶💥

Ace is not treat orientated which makes training a little harder than with the spaniels .. he much prefers a ball or ‘good boy pat’ reward for his good behaviour and fantastic recall 🥹

Over the years Ace has run thousands of miles with me covering trails and hills in The Lakes, Yorkshire, Wales, Scotland and of course my local area.
He is now retired from running and prefers a more leisurely hike or beach adventure these days 🐕‍🦺🥾🌊

Isn’t he a handsome lad 💙

Meet my dogs 😊

💙KES💙

Kes is a 10 year old working cocker spaniel and is the reason I’m married to my husband .. I fell for his big brown eyes and waggy bum in a Lakeland hotel and learned to love his owner at a later date 😂🤣

Kes has a massive fear of bangs and will jump into the nearest hedge out on walks if he hears the slightest noise. He has had behaviourist help bless him but still hasn’t quite overcome his terrors .. his walks are chosen to minimise the threat of bangs from crop scaring etc but is obviously unavoidable at times.

His favourite place to walk is the beach and he just loves to throw himself into the crashing waves for a swim - confidently heading away from shore, minding his own business and having the time of his life! 😅

Kes loves food .. all food! He’s a spaniel after all 😂 His favourite is probably sausages or a good sized dried trachea which he chucks in the air, howls at and plays with before devouring 🤣

Kes adores all people and his most embarrassing trait is jumping up at folk he sees on walks leaving his muddy footprints on their lovely clean clothes! 🫣😬 They never seem to mind though because his bum wiggle says “I’m sorry, I just couldn’t help myself” 🥹🙏🏻

Over the years Kes has climbed over a hundred Wainwrights in the Lake district, camped on top of mountains with his Dad, enjoyed many paddle boarding sessions, covered hundreds of miles running canicross style as well as many more on hikes in Yorkshire, Scotland and his surrounding home trails.

Isn’t he just adorable ❤️
