A great morning with 4 awesome dogs! 🤩

Young shepherd cross Jimmy is growing in confidence and calmness, he can struggle with over-excitement and reactivity but he is showing us he has a brain in there and is really starting to understand how to turn it on!

Our super Ember who can be worried about new people is always so well looked after by our understanding trailers, and today she had a go at her level 3 assessment in which we used car keys as our scent article, and she passed with flying colours!

Lemon the beagle did some amazing work today, staying calm and focused, she managed to do her first decoy and passed her level 2 assessment!

Womble worked really hard on proofing an indication today, he also worked on some decoys and showed us how well he is starting to progress and understand the game!

Well done all 🐾

A few snaps from mantrailing this Wednesday evening ☀️🐾

We had a fab session with 4 very different dogs. Jimmy can find the outside world quite overstimulating as an adolescent husky cross, we set him up for success with some short easy trails, while also lowering the excitement and keeping him calm and level headed. It was a big success and he trailed beautifully.

Pepper the lab, who isn't pictured, had a few practice runs of taking scent from a novel article ready for her assessment and she did really well!

Quinn the collie worked on his confidence. Quinn has a neurological disorder meaning he can find learning more difficult than the average dog. After he struggled a bit on his last session, we took a step back and he absolutely smashed it, despite being in a new location and dealing with a few distractions.

And last but not least, we celebrated our lovely Cookie's ( Claws & Paws on the Moors Dog walking & Pet care ) 5th birthday by doing one of her favorite things! 🤩 We worked on proofing her skills working with decoys and indications. She makes everyone smile with her unique way to indicate : jumping up for a cuddle! 🥰

A lovely afternoon trailing this weekend with 4 lovely dogs 🐾

16 year old Rosie was really enjoying herself and was the fastest we've seen her yet! Mantrailing is great for those older souls to keep their bodies and minds active while being gentle enough for them.

Her younger brother Drift the collie had a go at some longer trails and handled them beautifully!

Lovely Jinks the Visla also tackled some more challenging trails and absolutely smashed it!

And last but not least Rosie the cocker is already such a capable little trailing dog, today we worked on proofing her indications which went really well.

Great work from all 🐾

Congratulations to lemon who is the latest to pass her level 1 Mantrailing assessment! 💞

When Lemon first joined us her owner told us she didn't think she would be any good as she is so distracted by everything!

But lemon is proving her wrong by putting that energy and drive into something productive and learning to be an awesome little trailer! Well done lemon 🩷

Congratulations to James & Pepper for passing their level 2 rural mantrailing assessment!

This one involves a single blind with a turn, so beginning to learn to be able to read your dog and rely on them when you don't know the direction of travel is the main focus.

A wonderful Evening Trailing with 4 fantastic dogs 🤩

When things go " wrong" was unintentionally the theme of this evening's training. With all 4 teams tackling their own challenges, we had loads of discussion, loads of learning and a super productive session.
