Our first session focused on lead walking, and the progress was fantastic to see.
The first two videos show how they were when they arrived. I then worked with each dog individually before bringing them back together to continue the training as a pair.
Not bad for about an hour's work! 😊

His owners said he pulls her arms off when walking and only recalls occasionally, so this is what we focused on!

We made some good progress in the first session🙂

Sometimes I wonder if I should be paying to meet the dogs!!😄

We covered a lot in the session, including the importance of clear commands, timing and consistency. We focused on basic obedience, recalls and the wait command.

The lovely Peanut 😊

Peanut has great recall, stays close, and clearly has a strong bond with his owners. Some of these lovely traits are linked to his separation anxiety, which we focused on during today’s session.

Our goal was to help Peanut become more comfortable when left alone, building his understanding that his owners will always return and that he is safe.

He has already begun to show signs of relaxation when being left, which is a really positive step. Progress will take time, so we are focusing on small, manageable steps and consistently reinforcing calm, positive behaviours.

I allowed her to calmly meet other dogs, which went well.

There's no point in avoiding issues if you want them to improve!!

Unfortunately, I couldn't record the meetings as I was concentrating on her behaviour...
