🌩️ Meet Storm! 🌩️

This gorgeous black Lab has completely stolen our hearts during her stay at Happy Hound Retreat. 💛 Playful, cuddly, and full of personality, Storm loves nothing more than chasing a ball and then claiming most of the bed for her well-earned snooze. 💤🐾

She’s been such a joy to have with us — equal parts energy and snuggle bug — and we can’t wait for more adventures (and more bed space negotiations 😉).

🌿🐾 Meet Bluebelle! 🐾🌿

We’re so excited to welcome this beautiful girl to Happy Hound Retreat! 💕 Bluebelle has already settled right in and certainly isn’t shy about making herself heard – she’s a very talkative lady! 🐶💬

Her playful chatter keeps us smiling, and she’s definitely got us all howling with laughter. 🐺✨

We’re inviting stallholders to join us at the Isle of Wight’s newest dog festival – Hounds of Love Festival 2025!

📍 Held at the super dog-friendly Luccombe Manor, Shanklin
📅 Saturday 6th September, 1pm – 6pm

Whether you're a groomer, pet photographer, dog walker, behaviourist, vet, pet shop, toy maker or collar creator – we want YOU to be part of this exciting day.

Stalls are just £20, and space is limited – so don't miss out!

We’re also looking for trainers, display teams or performers to showcase their skills throughout the day.

Profits from the raffle will support local animal charities, so it’s a great way to give back while promoting your business.

These two are the definition of chilled — always close by for a cuddle, whether it’s day or night. 🐾 They’ve settled into retreat life like they’ve always been here, and we adore their sweet, gentle personalities (and matching faces!)

☀️ Say a big Happy Hound welcome to Sunny! ☀️

Don’t be fooled by his size — this handsome lad is a true gentle giant! 💛 Sunny is full of love, loves a good play session, and has already stolen a few hearts here at the retreat (and probably a tennis ball or two 😄).

It’s a joy having him here with us — we can’t wait for more fun, games, and cuddles during his stay! 🐾

🐾 Welcome to Happy Hound Retreat’s guest introductions! 🐾

We’re so excited to start a new way of introducing all the wonderful dogs that come to stay, play, and explore with us. Whether they’re here for daycare, boarding, or a lovely walk, every pup is part of the Happy Hound family – and we can’t wait for you to meet them all!

Kicking things off is the beautiful Daisy, who has settled in so well already. 🌸 She’s a gentle, sweet soul who loves a cuddle and watching the world go by – and we’re so lucky to have her with us! 💛

🌟 Proud Paws Moment! 🌟

Last weekend, Bonnie amazed us all by coming 2nd in the Undercliff Dog Training Scurry at the Royal Isle of Wight County Show🏅🐾

This was her very first time taking part in something like this — and she absolutely smashed it! Just look at that proud face with her rosette and goodie bag 😍🐶 (Don’t worry — she shared all the treats with her best buddy Bertie! 💕🐾)

🎉 Happy 2nd Birthday to the very handsome Rusty, one of our lovely new boarders here at Happy Hound Retreat! 🐾

He’s brought so much joy (and plenty of cuddles) during his stay with us – and we couldn’t let his special day go by without a proper celebration. Dogs especially love staying with us because we are also Happy Hound Artisan Bakery and love to spoil our guests with bespoke tasty treats!

Here’s to more muddy adventures, tasty treats, and tail wags, Rusty! 💛
