After 16 days of looking after all your beautiful pups while you’re on holiday, we are now out of office for 5 days!

We’re off to the UKFL flyball championships at Lincolnshire showground to compete with our team. Any responses to messages will be sent out on Tuesday.

Over the next couple days can clients please try to make sure dogs are dropped off by 9 at the very latest to ensure they can have a short morning walk.

At half 9 this morning it’s already reading 24 degrees.

There’s plenty of shade around in the garden, paddling pools to cool off in, fresh water to drink and I have three of my own cool coats however I recommend clients to buy their own and bring them along.

We love to see your dogs enjoying the sunshine but take their health in this heat very seriously ☀️

A reminder to clients

When temperatures exceed 20 degrees walks may be cancelled for some dogs and it is taken on a case to case basis, when temperature reach 23/24 all walks are cancelled. ☀️

However! Rest assured your dogs still will have plenty of mental stimulation as well as physical as we are very lucky to be able to have a garden that is shaded well during various points of the day. We also provide paddling pools and constant access to fresh water. 💧 💧

If the dogs look to be too warm or are playing to vigorously for the temperature then we make sure that inside time is there to rest and recuperate. We can do plenty of small outside play times or allow dogs free roam if they will keep themselves from being too crazy 🤪

Summer time cuddles with Bob

On days where it’s too hot to walk we spend a lot of the time in the garden where the dogs can go in and out as they please as well as having constant access to shade and to water, for both drinking and cooling in.

It also means more time for being silly and having cuddles spending that quality time with everyone 🥰🥰

Archie wears his muzzle at times as sometimes if dogs move to fast around him it can scare him but actually he loves to run around and be social 🥰

My Summer month availability is very scare, with only a couple dates free for daycare in June, July and limited availability for short stay boarding and daycares in August.

To avoid disappointment I do recommend booking summer holidays in advance as soon as my diary opens in the earlier months of the year as we don’t like to turn away dogs but sometimes we just don’t have the space or option.

It is always lovely to have the dogs here in the sunshine ☀️

Bertie says did someone say summers on the way?!

Just taking this opportunity to remind clients that I take each day of heat as it comes. There’s a lot of factors that can change the way the temperature affects each individual dog. If I do need to change whether your dog goes for a walk do not worry as the garden is always available to them. Our smaller dog garden in the summer months is open for the dogs to come in and out as they please and the bigger garden is there for short stretches on the legs, both gardens are extremely well shaded in the afternoon and living in a place so open we always receive a nice breeze 😊
