The day is started with Obedience where we address general control issues and expect all handlers to work the field at their respective levels but at the same time, two experienced trainers and one apprentice then move between the teams offering advice and problem solving issues such as contact, correct lead handling skills, timing and rewards as well as more serious issues such as unwarranted aggression towards dogs and people.

Despite this being a group training day one on one time is spent with each individual team! The teams are then put through our range of agility equipment once again with supervision to encourage correct technique and motivation. Then Protection work commences – Dogs are mostly worked one at a time for whichever dicipline is required, this encourages others to watch and participate creating a domino learning effect.

Dogs in their first few weeks of training are often worked in smaller groups to encourage “copying” and promote a competitive approach to the “criminal/helper/decoy”……..with over 20 years of combined experience with sport and service decoy work at the highest level – dog handlers from all over the country frequently visit our training days to benefit from the skills on offer……Aside from the two “sought after” protection trainers there are several upcoming decoys available with the finest training behind them in sport, civil, suit and muzzle work……..other benefits include wooded areas for search/patrol work, purpose built protection platform for tablework and several containers and cabins for indoor searches.
