I’ve had a bit of a social media break due to losing my Dad early October. I found it really hard to find inspiration or motivation for art but I’ve started to get back into it again, so here is a sneak peak of the three pieces I’m switching between.

Well this one went through many changes… leaves, no leaves, three different flame shapes and a few different hand positions. I’ve never had so many discussions about the position of a thumb before but we got there eventually 🤣

While attempting to finish up some WIPs I somehow managed to end up with 3 more new ones instead… what can I say, it’s a skill 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 I did however manage to eventually get this one done.

This year has been tough. I’ve been struggling with my mental health since September last year and art (as well as diamond painting and the friends I’ve made through it) are what have kept me going. I often struggle to describe what I’m feeling so I sketched out a few ideas that could show how it feels instead and this happened to be the first I chose to work on. It’s still a work in progress but each time I’m feeling really low I open it up to do some more on it.

Mr Ginge (a random ginger tabby who has decided he likes to come round for cuddles) has helped me through some of the worst times since our cat died unexpectedly last summer.
