I’ve not seen these butterflies since I started my business back in 2018.

They’re called Small Blue and are apparently the smallest butterflies in the UK.

How lucky am I? I get to play with beautiful pups, exploring while taking in our wonderful flora & fauna 🥰🐶🐾

Yesterday Yakki, Scout, Eden, Buddy and Willow enjoyed a play at the airfield.

It was lovely to watch little Scout’s confidence blossom with the ‘bigger kids’. Whilst she was carried most of the way as she’s still a young pup, being able to watch the others play is as good for her as being on the floor with them!

Scout’s confidence grew so much with each ‘play time’ that at the end of the walk, she wanted to be up front with the big girls and boys while Yakki stayed back with me 😍

Carrying puppies - around town, in shops, cafe’s, pubs and restaurants (where allowed), in parks is fantastic socialisation when they are either waiting for their second vaccination or they’re not quite old enough for a long walk. They take in all the sights, smells and sounds from the safety of your arms/carrier. We did it with Willow and I used to carry her around in a backpack on group walks too 😂

The right kind of socialisation is vital for pups so they grow into confident dogs in our strange world 🥰🐶🐾

Did you know that along with dog walking, dog training and other pet care services, I also have an online natural treat shop!

Since Willow came into our lives, I took an interest in canine nutrition and was shocked to learn the ingredients inside dog treats such as markies and gravy bones (mainly derivative based ingredients and also potentially harmful additives and preservatives). Then there’s the cheekily disguised rawhide wrapped in ‘meat’ or dental sticks that again, are made from derivatives and don’t actually clean teeth!

We started buying natural treats for her from a local pet shop (cows ears were a god send during the teething phase!) and saw how much she loved them AND they were doing her coat, skin, teeth, bones and joints good!

Willow’s Pet Pantry was set up so I could offer the same goodness to other pets at a reasonable price - it’s all natural and all good stuff!

Another bundle of goodies went out to an eagerly awaiting pup yesterday!

Mixed, broken sausages & sticks - a softer treat so perfect for elderly dogs who maybe have sensitive teeth/gums and also young puppies. They’re also the perfect treats to break up into smaller training treats. I chop them up into tiny bite-size pieces and the pups love them!

Beef Moon bones - made from beef cartilage so doesn’t splinter like bone yet provides a flavoursome long-lasting chew which helps clean teeth. Packed with glucosamine and chondroitin to help keep joints healthy.

Paddy Wack - one of Willows fave chews! Made from beef neck tendon this is a good long planting chew which helps to clean teeth. Much more beneficial (and natural) than additive packed alternatives such as Dentistix.

Cut Beef Trachea - give as a stand alone chew or pack with pate or your dogs regular food (soak kibble to stuff!). Can be frozen to create an extra long lasting chew perfect for hot summer days! The natural alternative to a Kong!

A super soggy walk today with Eden, Gunner, Django, Buddy & Willow!

We were joined by Django for a one off walk as he’s visiting Eden and Gunner. Gunner’s an old boy so we enjoyed a 40 min walk/tree run before popping back for Gunner to join us for a 20 minute womble.

We all needed a towel dry 😂

A wonderful week of walks and visits 🥰

We’ve enjoyed exploring, playing, snuggles and sheep/cow watching!

Living where we do, it’s so important that the pups are nice and calm around livestock. Cows and sheep are met daily, I’m sure it won’t be long before we meet a horse rider. Oh and the deer….I’ve loved seeing them all this week! Some a little too close for comfort but they’re so beautiful and the pups behaved impeccably around them 🥰🐶🐾

What a beautiful start to the day 😍

Eden & Willow enjoyed a lovely walk through the Seven Bridges Valley where we saw lots of deer close by. We don’t normally see the deer along the bridges walk until we get to the long avenue so was a real treat to see them so close to the path (babies too!) and a stag sleeping (or he was until we got close!) at the other side of the dry river bed.

Loved this walk since doing pet of it with my Grandparents back in 2016. I feel so blessed that I can do it as part of my job 🥰🐶🐾

Penny for your thoughts 💭

Every time a client hands me their dogs lead, they’re handing me something far more meaningful - their trust. Trust that I will treat their dog with the same love, care and attention they would.

That trust means everything to me.

Over time, a beautiful trust grows between me and each dog too. It’s in the tail wags, the excited barks and the beautiful walks we share. They learn that I’m safe, consistent and there for them.

A bond that I treasure deeply.

But it doesn’t end there. I also place my trust in my clients: trust that they’ll honor our agreements, that they value the service and care I provide. That together we’re building not just a business relationship, but a community rooted in mutual respect.

Grateful today and every day, for the trust that flows in all directions.

But why not call in for a doggy icecream or lickimat to freeze and keep your dogs entertained while inside out of the heat.
We have all sorts to entertain your pooch on these long hot days, we even have some pools and cool mats left too,
and while we love to see our 4 legged friends, we would prefer you keep them at home today.

We’ve had some lovely walks/sessions over the past couple of weeks and I got my snuggle quota well and truly topped up 🥰

This week we also welcome Scout - a gorgeous little lady who is a little too young to enjoy a full walk so will be carried between playtimes.

Today the warm weather saw us find a shady patch on our walks for some serious bitey face play (Buddy & Willow) and super snuggles from Yakki & Eden 🥰🐶🐾
