🌟Update from shelter survivor Brandy🌟

Brandy is one of the 12 dogs saved from the government shelter by AFOT after being seized from Brenda's.

Brandy is now safe in the care of one of our local Turkish fosters. She is recovering well from her ordeal in the government shelter and is slowly but surely starting to build up some confidence.

She recently got spayed, and was allowed to spend a few days living indoors to recover from her surgery before joining the other dogs back in the kennels.

This gorgeous girl has been through a lot, but she is finally safe and we hope we will be able to find her a forever home where she will never have to feel scared again!

Beautiful Kaz is one of the 12 dogs we rescued from the shelter, she was one of the 3 additional dogs we took on above our expectations, with your help and support.

Now we are asking for a little more help, sponsors to help fund her care, food and veterinary fees.

Kaz had been rescued along with her sister by Brenda. Her sister was adopted but she wasn’t so lucky. Then she was taken from Brendas to the shelter…….. she must have been bewildered and terrified!

Kaz is affectionate, cuddly, friendly and intelligent. She would make a perfect addition to anyone’s family ❤️ but in the meantime, we need help to keep her fed and cared for until she finds the home of her dreams.

Looking for a forever home ASAP: Bo Already in the UK

Female / approx 2 years old / Cocker Spaniel mix / small (approx 9 kg)
Spayed / up to date on shots / chipped

Bo recently moved to London from Turkey and is adapting to her new life wonderfully, but unfortunately she needs to leave her current home. We are urgently looking for a safe foster (or forever) home, where she can continue to settle until she is ready for adoption.

Bo is a very energetic, boisterous dog. She is extremely playful and adventurous. She is a confident dog who walks well on the lead and isn’t easily startled or scared. She is very well suited to the hustle bustle of life in a city.

Bo is a lively dog who needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
She is a very social dog who loves people and other dogs. She isn’t shy around strangers and is happy to say hello to everyone she meets. She is also very friendly towards new dogs. She is a good match for confident, playful dogs. Shy or submissive dogs may find her rough play a bit overwhelming. She can be protective of her toys and treats.

She has only been in the UK a short while, but she has adapted well and has learned lots of things since arriving. She is toilet trained. People touching her neck (such as clipping on a lead) makes her nervous, so we recommend using a harness for Bo.

30 DOGS SPONSORED IN 30 DAYS UPDATE 🐾🌟

Someone asked for an update on the dogs we completed a sponsorship drive for in June of this year, asking for 30 sponsors for 30 dogs over 30 days. We managed to get a sponsor for each dog which was amazing so I will now provide an update on each dog as I go through each day of that month…….

Day 5 was our beautiful DAKOTA

DAKOTA recently got to spend some time with a new mini human friend. She did amazingly well and was so sweet and gentle! You could tell that she loved the company ❤️

It would be amazing to see Dakota with a home of her very own, she is so ready for it and really deserves it 🌟

In the meantime, we are still always looking for sponsors for this lovely lady 🥰

IN MEMORIAM: GRAINNE 🌷

Last week, we received the terrible news that former AFOT Trustee Grainne has passed away.

Grainne stepped down from her position as AFOT Trustee in 2023 to focus on her health, but this didn't stop her from continuing to help dogs privately. Despite setbacks in her treatment journey, Grainne continued to be involved in rescue and helped transform the lives of more dogs, even whilst she was sick.

She was an extraordinary woman and a real animal lover, who made the world a better place. We are so grateful for everything she did during her lifetime for both AFOT and non-AFOT dogs.

The world has lost a truly kind soul.
Rest in peace Grainne 🕊️♥️
