“Archie stayed with Tanya for a week recently whilst we were away and we would not hesitate to recommend her for dog boarding. Tanya was so accommodating and welcoming, collecting and dropping Archie home, sending lots of photos and treating him like one of the family. When your dog stays with us, their wellbeing, comfort, and happiness are our top priorities 💛

Before any overnight stay, we always arrange a meet and greet so your dog can get to know us, our own dogs, and the family in a calm, friendly setting. This helps everyone feel relaxed and ensures the perfect fit for a happy stay!

Once they’re here, we make sure every dog feels right at home:

🐶 Safe sleeping arrangements – Dogs sleep in cosy, supervised areas, either together (if they’re comfortable and get along) or separately for peaceful rest.

🍽️ Separate feeding times – To keep mealtimes calm and stress-free, every dog is fed individually with their own food and routine.

🕒 Routines kept – We do our best to mirror your dog’s usual routine, including walk times, feeding schedules, and bedtime rituals.

🐕 Understanding Your Dog’s Body Language While Boarding

Dogs may not speak our language, but they’re always communicating!
Knowing how to read your dog’s body language helps us (and you!) keep them calm, happy, and comfortable during their stay.

Here are a few signs we always look out for:

👂 Ears — Forward ears usually mean curiosity or excitement. Flattened ears can show nervousness or fear.
🐾 Tail — A wag isn’t always happiness! A loose, sweeping wag means friendliness, but a stiff, high tail can signal tension.
🐶 Eyes — Soft, blinking eyes = relaxed dog. Wide eyes or “whale eye” (when you see the whites) can mean stress.
🦴 Body posture — A loose, wiggly body shows comfort, while a stiff stance suggests uncertainty.

At Redditch Dog Boarding, our team is trained in canine body language and behaviour — so we can spot the small signs that show how your dog is feeling. This helps us tailor their care, reduce stress, and make sure every dog feels safe, supported, and loved 💛

Henry has settled in beautifully and has already been charming everyone with his sweet nature (and those adorable eyes 👀). He’s enjoyed some lovely walks, plenty of cuddles, and is making himself right at home here at Redditch Dog Boarding.
