Meet Keith✨

Keith is a lovely 20 years young gelding I see for regular maintenance sessions. He sustained an injury when he was younger, so regular physiotherapy sessions help him to stay comfortable!

You can see in this clip how much he enjoys his sessions, with soft half closed eyes and a relaxed muzzle whilst releasing some tension in his lumbar region😌

If you think physiotherapy could help your pet don’t hesitate to get in touch!🐴🐶

⭐️Lateral Tail Pulls⭐️

Lateral tail pulls are such a versatile exercise to incorporate into physiotherapy sessions, home strengthening programmes and rehabilitation.

Lateral tail pulls have many benefits:
- myosfasicial release stretch
- improve balance
- increase proprioception
- create core engagement
- encourage even weight bearing
- muscle activation and strengthening

In this video, you can see the quadriceps and biceps muscles engaging to counter balance the tail pull. This was an exercise I left this mares owner with to aid strengthening of stabilising muscles.

I still have some afternoon and weekend availability this month - message me to get booked in!

Start off the new year right by booking your horse in for a maintenance session! Many horses are now coming back into work after a short winter break, so it’s important they’re feeling their best to maximise results for the coming season.

Maintenance physiotherapy sessions are beneficial for so many reasons:
- improved muscle and joint health
- releasing any tightness/soreness in muscles from general day to day work
- improve blood circulation
-improve gait patterns and therefore performance

All sessions begin with a static and dynamic assessment before a tailored treatment for the individual, from a level 7 qualified veterinary physiotherapist, NAVP registered and fully insured.

Message me to find out how physiotherapy could benefit your horse!🐴

Exciting things are coming in 2026! I will be undertaking a kinesiology taping course.

Kinesiology taping has so many benefits including:
- muscle and joint support
- improving lymphatic drainage
- proprioceptive feedback
- increased blood flow
- pain relief

This will be a hugely beneficial tool to add to your physio appointments during rehabilitation and general training/competition recovery!

I still have some appointments available before the end of the year, don’t hesitate to get booked in🐶🐴

A lovely review from a happy client🥰 Bear was an absolute pleasure to treat!!

📷 working through the hamstrings to release some tension, perfectly normal as his workload has recently increased and he’s been working hard!

✨Bodywork for Bear! ✨

Daisy from DR Vet Physio visited today to treat Bear - after being a little suspicious to begin with, he soon realised she was there to help him feel better 🥰

By the end of the session he’d totally relaxed into it, and Daisy was able to work through some key areas to keep him feeling loose and comfortable.

Bear looks and feels great afterwards and we’ve got our stretching homework to crack on with too 💪🐴

📸 Huge thanks to Daisy for her care and expertise - keeping our horses feeling their best makes all the difference!

I can’t wait to get back in the saddle and see how Bear feels 🏇🏼
