We Did It – £786.92 Raised for Gables! 🥳

We’re absolutely thrilled to share that thanks to all of you, a total of £786.92 was raised for Gables Dogs & Cats Home during our very first Plymouth Dog Owners Summit!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who attended, supported, donated, and helped us make this event such a success. Your support means the world—not just to us, but to the amazing team at Gables and the animals they care for.

This was just the beginning! We’re already looking forward to making the next event even bigger and better, with more speakers, more practical advice, and more professionals from Plymouth’s Positive Dog Training Community all coming together to support local dog owners.

Morning all.

Becky here. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's event as much as we did. It was lovely meeting you all and thank you so much for filling out the feedback forms. I hope you managed to go over and say hello to the fabulous ladies from Gables Dogs & Cats Home and find out more about the charity. It was so nice to be able to support them.

I just wanted to say thank you to Tracey Jones-Hughes Sophie VI P Sara Landricombe for being involved in the event. I really enjoyed your talks and the amazing support you gave to event.🥰

A huge thanks to Laura Schofield and Kat Gill. The support they have given to the event not only on the day but the months of planning and lead up to the day has been out of this world.

Laura is the founder of Snuffle Truffles and single handedly made all the snuffle products you all had in your goodie bags. I even managed to get one myself and my chihuahua, Chicco absolutely loves it. Please do head over to her page and check out her other products. I know she also would absolutely love to see videos of your dogs enjoying their new snuffle product. ❤️.

I would also like to thank Tracey's son Tom who gave up his day to come and record the presentations so everyone can have access to the presentations forever. I really cannot wait to see these. 😊

We have various donations from Pupcakes, Snuffle Truffles, Just Joe’s Garden Maintenance and the speakers themselves 🥳
In support of Gables Dogs & Cats Home, we will be donating all profits to this fantastic charity.
Don’t forget to join the Plymouth’s Positive Dog Training Community if you are in or local to Plymouth. We provide as much advice as we can to those who may have struggles. You can also find positive only trainers, who work with the most up to date research and kind methods to help you and your dogs succeed in life.

We’re incredibly touched to share that a wonderful man named Gary has made a generous donation of £100 towards our upcoming event, in loving memory of his beautiful dog Freddie, who sadly passed away recently.

To honour Freddie’s legacy and support our chosen charity, Gables Dogs and Cats Home, we’ll be using this donation to gift 5 free tickets to our Plymouth Dog Owners Summit taking place on Saturday 12th April.

These tickets will be gifted to 5 amazing individuals who have adopted their dog from Gables—because we know just how special that journey is.
