Our first race of 2026 might not have come with rosettes, but it absolutely delivered on family spirit. After all, nothing bonds a team quite like standing in a busy car park in the pouring rain, right?
After finding our feet again (not paws — the dogs were paw-perfect as always), it was good to be back in the ring. Our big boy Drift, however, showed a few signs we weren’t happy with after taking a jump a little awkwardly. The decision was made there and then to go WFC - which, of course, means playtime instead.
It was the first time on the start lights for two of our handlers and we shocked ourselves with our very respectful start times. We even saw a 0.03 once someone remembered which light to let go on…
We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome into the wider community, the care shown to Drift and the endless patience shown while we wrestled with ring party duties. A soggy start to the year, but a heart-warming one all the same.
