🐾 Meet Darcie 🐾

This gorgeous girl has been joining me for walks and pet sitting recently, and I think it’s about time she got a proper introduction! 💕

Darcie is a 4-month-old Poodle mix with a huge personality packed into a tiny body. She’s bouncy, affectionate, food obsessed, and always ready to explore.

Just look at that face! 🥹🩷

Alongside having fun and building confidence, we’re also working on the foundations that help puppies grow into well-mannered adult dogs. We’re practising recall, heel work, engagement, and learning how to remain neutral around other dogs, people, traffic, and everyday noises.

Puppies aren’t born knowing these things, and progress comes from consistency. Small sessions, clear expectations, and lots of repetition help build behaviours that will last a lifetime. Darcie is a clever little girl and is already making lovely progress. 🩷

🐾 BIG NEWS! 🐾

Some of you already know this, but for those who don’t… next month I will be welcoming a very special new member to the family! 💚

Meet Artemas (“Artie”), my Standard Poodle puppy! 🐩✨

I’ve been keeping this fairly quiet while everything was being finalised, but I’m so excited that I can finally share it properly. Those who know me know that dogs aren’t just my job, they’re my entire world, and Artie will be joining me on a huge journey over the coming years.

He’ll be training in advanced obedience, dog sports, and hopefully assistance work too. Along the way you’ll probably see plenty of puppy updates, training wins, funny moments, muddy adventures, and maybe the occasional bit of puppy chaos! 😅

As a trainer, I spend a lot of time helping other people with their dogs, so I’m really looking forward to sharing my own puppy journey from day one. No perfect social media highlights, just the real process of raising and training a puppy into the dog I hope he’ll become.

I genuinely can’t wait to watch him grow, learn, and become part of the team. 💚

⚠️ Heads up during the hot weather: water intoxication (“water bloat”) in dogs ⚠️

With the current UK heatwave, it’s important to remember that while keeping dogs hydrated is super important, drinking too much water too quickly can actually be dangerous too — especially after lots of exercise or energetic play.

This can lead to something called water intoxication, where the body’s sodium levels get too diluted. In serious cases, it can become life-threatening very quickly.

Some deep-chested breeds can also be more prone to bloat-related issues, including:
🐶 Great Danes
🐶 German Shepherds
🐶 Standard Poodles
🐶 Dobermanns
🐶 Setters
🐶 Weimaraners

🚩 Things to watch out for:
• Excessive drooling
• Vomiting
• Bloated or hard tummy
• Lethargy or weakness
• Stumbling or wobbliness
• Pale gums
• Dilated pupils
• Seizures

Dogs may be more at risk if they:
💦 Bite at hoses or sprinklers
💦 Keep fetching toys from water over and over
💦 Guzzle lots of water after getting overheated
💦 Swim for long periods without breaks

💧 A few ways to help keep your dogs safe:
• Offer smaller amounts of water regularly instead of letting them drink loads at once after activity
• Make sure they get regular breaks in the shade
• Avoid intense exercise during the hottest parts of the day
• Try cooling mats, paddling pools, frozen treats, or calmer enrichment activities
• Keep an eye on dogs around pools, lakes, and hoses

Heatstroke and dehydration are serious, but too much water can be risky as well. Keeping things balanced is key during extreme heat 🌡️

Stay safe, and give your dogs some extra fuss from me.

A big welcome to Maisie and Stitch ❤️

These two lovely senior babies have recently joined us for drop-ins and pet sits, and they’ve already stolen my heart 🥹🐶

Maisie the Collie and Stitch the Jack Russell Terrier are both such sweet, gentle souls. They can be a little reserved at first, but they’re absolutely lovely once they settle in 💕

I’m looking forward to spending more time with them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away 🐾

Welcome to Donia 🐾🤍

Donia is a lovely Beagle rescue who I’ve been doing sits for alongside her brother, Wolfie 🐶

She’s such a sweet girl with loads of personality… including her very impressive talent of doing a handstand when she pees 🤣 honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen!

Rescue dogs always have their own little quirks and stories, and Donia definitely keeps me smiling. I’m looking forward to spending more time with her and her brother 🐾

A big welcome to our newest client, Ace 🐶💙

Ace is a super goofy Pocket Bully who had a few drop-ins with us over the weekend, and safe to say he kept us smiling the whole time 🤣

He was SO excited to see me every visit and made sure to bring plenty of chaos, cuddles, and bully zoomies with him 😂 Such a sweet boy with a massive personality!

Can’t wait to spend more time with this handsome lad 🐾

This week we had the pleasure of looking after Buster, Rosie & Teddy 🐾💙

This lovely trio of English Springer Spaniels joined us for a week of walks while their owners were away, and they were an absolute joy to spend time with 😊

Full of energy, personality, and plenty of spaniel enthusiasm, they definitely kept us busy and entertained! 🐶

🐾 New Client Alert – Chelsea 🐾

Everyone welcome Chelsea to the Muddy Mayhem family 💙

Chelsea is a rescue girl believed to be a Mastiff x Staffy mix, around 7 years old 🐶 She’s such a sweet, affectionate, and funny girl, and I’ll be doing walks with her as well as future pet sits 🦴✨

She’s VERY food motivated (which definitely helps 😂) and has already been making me laugh… on only our second walk together, a seagull pooped on her 🤣🐦💩 Safe to say she was not impressed.

I’m really looking forward to spending more time with this lovely girl and sharing more adventures together 🐾

Meet Lucy 🩶🐾

Lucy is a rescue from Mexico and although she can be very nervous at first, once she knows you she is the sweetest girl ever 🥹

I already work with her sister, so now I’ve started spending some time with Lucy too! We’re taking things nice and slowly with calm 1 hour drop-ins, helping her build confidence and get comfortable around me at her own pace 💚

Safe to say… I think I’ve won her over with her frisbee 🎾😂 She absolutely ADORES it!

It’s so lovely seeing her come out of her shell more and more each visit. Underneath that reserved exterior is such a gentle, affectionate girl 🐶

I can’t wait to continue building our bond and helping her confidence grow ✨
