This weekend was the Oxford Shinty Sixes - there were 8 teams competing, from 6 shinty clubs. Bristol were the winners, with one of the Oxford teams placed 2nd.

- The evidence base for NSAIDs restoring productivity
- Review recent findings of a study on the use of NSAIDs by local farmers

Bluetongue PreMovement Test Update: The length of time that pre-movement test samples are valid is changing from 21 days to 10 days from the 27th of May. Leading up to this date, samples should be timestamped to ensure validity on the planned move date.

Bluetongue pre-movement testing exemptions have been extended until the 12 of June: Non-breeding animals over 60 days old do not need testing but you must apply for a specific movement licence if moving them out of the restriction zone.

Funding applications to The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) open on the 29th of May (until 10th July).

Funding is available for Productivity, Slurry Management and Animal Health & Welfare.

Documented discussions with your vet in support of your application can increase your application score by 20%. This could be included as part of your Animal Health & Welfare Review (government funded vet time), health plan review, or a stand alone discussion.
