Almost 13 years ago when Lady was only 3 months old and went for her first walk off the lead. When is the right time? I started her at this age in a very big field and she kept pretty close to me. When she was 5-6 months old I walked in a field changing direction all the time so when she went ahead she then came back to me. Big tip with your puppy training do these little tip and your dog will watch you instead of you keeping an eye on them.
