How long should you leave Blue River Diets in your geckos enclosure? Our recommendation is no longer than 24 hours.

Why? We use high levels of real fruit in our diets and stay committed to keeping things 100% natural. In a warm humid enclosure, real fruit will always break down faster, just like fresh fruit would anywhere else.

While we use natural preservatives to help keep the diet stable, we still recommend removing and replacing after 24 hours to keep feeding safe and fresh for your gecko.

Overfeeding is one of the most common mistakes in crested gecko care.

Adult Crested Gecko do not need daily feeding. In most cases, a quality crested gecko diet offered around three times per week is more than enough, alongside occasional live insect feeds. Allowing short breaks between feeds helps replicate a more natural cycle and prevents excess weight gain.

Obesity is seen far too often in captivity, and it can lead to serious long term issues including reduced mobility, weakened bone structure, fertility problems, and a shortened lifespan.

Feeding less, but feeding correctly, is key to keeping your gecko healthy.
