Isaac has a winter time message to share with all the dogs, woofers, doggies, doggo’s, puppers and general canines around…

Woof woof woof grrr humph woof ggggrr snort, tail swish, lick, *strange noise that dosent translate very well*, grr grr woof!

Roughly translated for the humans…
Make sure you are cleaning your dogs paws when they come in after winter, icy, snow walks. Grit and salt can get stuck between the pads and is not healthy for dogs to lick! Plus this helps to make sure you know if they have injured themselves diving in the snow!

Did you know it’s dog pain awareness month?
As dogs age they can develop a variety of conditions which can cause pain. Possibly one of the most common is arthritis. But just because your dog is a pupper dosent mean they aren’t in pain!
Use a relaxation massage to examine your dog for signs of pain. Let them know where you are going to touch and watch their reaction as you do.
Some signs of pain are obvious, like flinching and moving away, others can be much more subtle! If in doubt talk to your vet!

Hi all, as the wether gets colder, make sure you look after those older puppers who might be feeling sore! And remember to clean all the paws if the gritters come out!

I am proud to announce that I have taken the first step towards an APDT accreditation.
The APDT are amongst a handful of organisations in the UK who are campaigning for more oversight in the dog training industry, more regulation in training requirements for trainers and behaviourists, more oversight, more control and conformity in the methods used by professionals. I am proud to say I am on the way to becoming a member!
