👋🏻 A little re-introduction for any new faces. I’m Lucy and I recently opened Fab N Fluffy Dog Grooming not only because it’s something I love doing, but it’s also something that has helped my own dogs and family and friends’ dogs become calmer and more comfortable during grooming.

A question I’ve been asked many times…

“ My dog hates grooming, what can I do?”

The truth is, most dogs don’t love the sound of a dryer, standing still on a table, or having their paws touched. If your dog finds grooming stressful, you’re not alone and you certainly haven’t done anything wrong. With the right approach, patience and kindness, even the most nervous dogs can learn that grooming isn’t scary.

This is where I come in. I offer 1-to-1 grooming in a calm, relaxed environment, with no noisy salon full of distractions. If it all feels a bit much, I have a safe, secure garden where your dog can take breaks, stretch their legs and reset before we carry on.

When I meet a nervous dog, instead of pushing them through, I slow everything down. I go at their pace, taking time to build trust, paying attention to their body language, and adapting each session, not forgetting lots of fuss and affection. Step by step your dog will feel more relaxed and leave calmer, tail wagging and just that little bit braver than before.
