STAR Rabbit Rescue Nottingham

STAR Rabbit Rescue Nottingham A small animal rescue in Nottingham. We rescue rabbits, guinea-pigs, rodents and occasionally cats. There are waiting lists into the 100's for shelter spaces.

Sweet Things Animal Rehab & Rescue

We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome small animals in Nottingham. Government services and rescue shelters are FULL with unwanted animals. Overpopulation is a huge problem. There are far too many animals who need loving homes. STAR Rescue was founded by Cassie, because she could not sit idle whilst she knew there were animals out there suffering due to human neglig

ence and greed. We also have a passion for education and prevention. After all, prevention is better than cure! It's important that humans know how to care for animals and treat them with kindness and respect. We strongly believe that empathy can make a world of difference. We help owners with problem pets by helping them identify the problem, and finding the solution. By following our 'homework' and advice, we can prevent you having to give away your animal due to bad behaviour. We also hope to expand to provide animal therapy services throughout Nottingham to help vulnerable children and adults. We believe in the healing powers of animals, and that the simple joys they bring us can help improve mental health and overall happiness. If you are interested in helping to fund this project, or would like to have an animal therapy session in your institution please contact us. [email protected]

(Friends and family!)

Hey everyone, as you know I’ve closed the rescue but I’ve left this page up in case any of our previous adopters needed to get in touch with us.

But I have a special request.

I was notified of two tiny kittens being given away on Facebook for free - as you all know this can be really dangerous and they were only 9 weeks old so would be perfect dog bait 😭

I couldn’t just sit there, so I may have gone and rescued them 🙈 what can I tell you? I miss it.

So, meet the gorgeous Theo and Paula 💕

They have diarrhoea and need veterinary care, as well as all the trimmings such as vaccinations (when they’re well), neutering and follow ups… and also they need pricier food for sensitive stomachs, cat litter, puppy pads, wormer, probiotics, antibiotics etc etc

It’s going to put me out of pocket a fair bit and now I don’t have rescue back up funds! If any of our followers would like to donate towards their care I would be really grateful ❤️❤️❤️

Alternatively getting them something from this wishlist would help enormously too because I can then save my own money for vet bills!

Thank you 💕🙏

We keep this page going to open up conversations about returning animals adopted from us.

Even though we have closed, if anyone who has adopted from us needs to rehome their pets for any reason, please contact us first. We will always take our previous residents back into our care ❤️

We had to deliver some terribly sad news this week when one of our adopted cats was in a fatal car accident 😢 We are sending our love to the family, it’s the worst possible time of year for this to happen 😔❤️

If you have adopted from us, our details are on your pets chip until you change them to your own. We do this so we are able to get in touch with you if anything like this happens, or if a pet is lost etc. In this case the men who found the cat called my number.

On this note, it seems a good opportunity to let you all know that if you want to change your pets chip details to your own (all cats and rabbits are chipped) and you haven’t already, please get in touch with us and we can provide you with details on how to do so.

Also on an unrelated note, although we have moved up North, our adoption promise still stands. If you are no longer able to care for your pet for whatever circumstance, we will still honour our commitment and take them in. We will then attempt to find them a reputable rescue space or care for them ourselves until a new home is found. Please contact us first before considering rehoming to friends or family.

Please contact us if you have any queries ❤️

Easipet Puppy Pen - £15

We still have an easipet puppy pen for sale! It’s 8 sided, 76cm tall, and drop pin.

Please message us if you’re interested!

We would never advise this to be used unsupervised or on its own as a rabbit run.

FOR SALE

I have an Easipet puppy pen available for £15.

I have also have some cord/cable protectors available (unused) for £5.

The pen is 76cm tall, and fixed together with drop pins meaning it is easily separated into small sections which is handy for protecting individual pieces of furniture/TVs from indoor bunnies. It can also be used in its entirety to attach to another pen for supervised outdoor time. I would not recommend using the pen on its own as it isn’t big enough, or unsupervised as it isn’t safe enough. There is some minor rusting from being stored outside, but this doesn’t effect its use.

The cord/cable protectors are made of tough plastic, with a slit down the side of the tube, making it easy to slide your cables inside it. There’s probably around 5 or 6 meters of it, more of the white, but I haven’t measured it.

Please message us if interested ☺️
