!NEW GALAXY RASBORA HYBRID!

***Pearl Emerald dwarf danio***

These new hybrids are certainly getting some attention since yesterday’s stock update. These little nano gems parents are both from the area of Myanmar the same habitat requirements.

Adult pearl emeralds have markings that more closely resemble celestials along with the shimmer of the emerald.

We’ve only ever seen these on American forums and never seen them in the UK market, and we only have 20 of these available making these a great unusual addition to a nano collection or a planted display.

Celestial Pearl Danio (CPD) HYBRID

Here’s something to get chins wagging. We’ve managed to get hold of some hybrid Celestial Pearl danios crossed with Emerald dwarf Rasboras.
Upkeep is just as keeping CPD’s and breeding is probably the same. As these are hybrids and we haven’t yet seen established adults, it’s going to be interesting to see them develop. Photographing these fast little cuties has proven difficult!

PLANT DELIVERY
And it’s a big one. From the humble oxygenating plant to planted woods, we’ve hade a bumper crop arrive here in the fish room.

This week we’ve had loads of structural woods ready planted, plus we’ve stocked up heavily on Anubias and dry unplanted woods for those of you wanting to DIY your own.

***TOP TIP***
Select your own wood and pre soak it to sink and remove some of the tanning. Then use black cable zip ties to attach the likes of Anubias to it. On thick party’s of the wood, drill a hole using a 6mm drill bit to make a hole through the wood (best done while dry) so the tie can’t be seen. Thats how we did the Show tank at the entrance to the fish room!

We also have moss balls, ideally suited to aqua scaped aquariums and shrimp set ups.

Found in fast flowing waters in china, These are definitely one of our most exciting additions to our fish room this week. These are a small loach they don’t get much bigger than 6cm. They are beautiful little loaches that prefer a Hillstream set up with smooth stones and sand with fast flowing water.

We are currently feeding live daphnia to them. They will accept dry pellets and will benefit from a mature set up containing naturally occurring biofilm and algae’s.

These are in Chinas severely endangered list and are rare to find in the trade.
