I’m Jemma - lifelong cat lover, part-time street cat whisperer and frequent visitor to Nottingham’s Kitty Café. I’ve grown up with cats (shoutout to Misty, Keith and Jasper!) and currently share my home with my beloved feline, Sandra. I started cat sitting in 2018 when I couldn’t have a cat of my own - and I’ve loved every whisker-filled moment since. I work typical office hours (Monday-Friday, 9a

m-5.30pm) but as I mostly work from home, I’m flexible and happy to accommodate visits outside these hours where possible.

🐾 What a week of feline fun!

This past week, I’ve had the pleasure of looking after some of my favourite furry favourites - and even got to welcome a new one to the gang!

✨ Missy, who kept me company with her constant chatter and sass

✨ Tibbs, a total sweetheart who loves a quiet snuggle

✨ Meg, who chirps like a bird and has a whole repertoire of circus-worthy moves

✨ Yoshi, the softest companion whose calm energy is soothing to be around

✨ Phil and Reggie, a quiet pair who prefer their own company and are happiest when humans keep a respectable distance (and that’s ok!)

✨ And finally, I got to meet Fern - a sweet and elegant lady with a heart-melting purr.

It’s such a joy getting to spend time with these wonderful cats while their humans are away. Thank you to all the owners who trust me with their precious pets.

I’ve had the pleasure of looking after the wonderful Tibbs for the past fortnight and I already miss her 😻

Tibbs is one of my regulars and our relationship has truly blossomed since I first cat sat for her a couple of years ago. She started out by hiding from me underneath the bed and never coming out to say hello, to now greeting me at the door and having the best adventures together!

It was so lovely to receive this amazing feedback from her humans earlier today: “Thank you Jemma, I really do appreciate you taking such good care of her. You get her quirks hehe and she loves that. She clearly looks forward to your visits every day!”

My first time looking after Petunia this week - a nine-year-old angel who spent the majority of her life as a stray before her new parents took her in just a few months ago 😻

Although you wouldn’t believe it given how quickly she has taken to me, a stranger! It’s beautiful seeing her so settled into her new home and loving her new life.

(The background noise is her brother, Jammy, in the litter box 😹)
