Meet Espresso, a cute gelding looking for his new home as a non-ridden companion. Espresso would suit an experienced handler with a small herd he can play with.

Espresso came into our care unhandled, he is progressing well with his basic handling using positive reinforcement, making him very rewarding to work with. Once settled Espresso can stay alone for short periods of time, making him the perfect companion for your ridden horse.

Summer Tips 4 - Asthma. ☀️🩻 🌾🌳
As equestrians we longingly look forward to the summer months and at Petplan we’ve teamed up with Equine Vet Gil Gil Riley MVB CertEP MRCVS to bring you his top tips for this season. 🐴
“Summer pasture allergy can be a real issue for some horses. Because of an allergy to pollens in the air, the muscle around their airways clamps down, leading to an increased respiratory effort and rate of breathing. If your horse suffers from asthma, keep an eye on the pollen forecast and don’t turn out during the afternoon when the count is at its highest. Make sure the stable is as free of dust as possible – dust free bedding and forage soaked – this minimizes the irritation to the sensitized lung tissues by inhaled dust and spores. Consider keeping in during the day and turning out at night.”
