This lovely old girl is Sandy. When I met her I was told she wasn't friendly with other animals.

I have had her for regular daily walks for the past few weeks, which has now evolved into in home day care, alongside my own dog and 2 cats!

I don't offer this service as a general rule, however there are a few exceptions - this little angel being one.

With the right energy and proper introductions, even the oldest dogs can learn 'new tricks'.

We all love Sandy, especially Pimm 🐈

I now have 'naughty dogs' who couldn't be walked with other dogs, thriving in pack walks - it is possible!

In the heart of Bowthorpe, Norwich, lies a hidden gem of nature—Bowthorpe Charter Woods, a vital haven for wildlife and a beloved sanctuary for residents. The vibrant flurry of rare birds, including the stunning red wing and lesser White Throat as well as a resident Cuckoo that call this woodland home. These natural wonders create not just a landscape of beauty, but a delicate ecosystem that must be preserved.
However, looming threats of development now endanger this unique environment, posing irreversible damage to its biodiversity. The cobalt crust fungus that is found here, known for its distinct blue hue is very rare in the UK and thrives only in undisturbed conditions which Bowthorpe woods provides, a fact that underscores the critical importance of safeguarding this habitat. Meanwhile, the vast collection of animals such as different types of deer along with other avian species including buzzards, rely on these woods for survival amid the changing pace of urbanisation.
Preserving Bowthorpe Charter Woods is not just about saving trees; it’s about maintaining an environmental balance and protecting rare species that contribute to our planet’s diversity. The woods serve as a crucial carbon sink, aiding in the fight against climate change, also woodlands play a crucial role in reducing flood risks. It would be devastating to lose this as its currently enjoyed daily by people and having green spaces available makes a massive impact on peoples mental health and wellbeing. While providing recreational spaces in nature and a beautiful route for dog walkers.
We urge our local council and government representatives to recognize the ecological and personal value of Bowthorpe Charter Woods. By designating it as a protected green area, we can ensure that it remains untouched by development. Save Bowthorpe Charter Woods from Development

This gorgeous girl joined us today for a morning of fun! A walk around Mousehold heath with my boy, then a group walk in one of my favourite spots - Charter Woods, Bowthorpe. This spot is currently at threat of development, which makes me very sad. I'm going to post a petition here to hopefully stop this from happening. Please sign if you have a few minutes to spare!

A few snaps of walks over the past week. I like to keep the groups fairly small to ensure your dog gets all the attention they deserve. I will also create the groups with the dog's energy levels and temperaments in mind - this way, you can be sure your dog will have a fun and relaxing time out on our walks.
Spaces are currently available for group and solo walks, whether that be on an ad-hoc basis or a regular weekly slot.
