Poppy, much like her sibling Tabitha, is the sweetest natured little girl who does have a shyer disposition, but once she knows you, you will have the best companion in her.

She loves to play with toys and having a fuss from her people.

Poppy has been with one of our fantastic home fosters so she is familiar with usual household noises, lives with cat savvy children and other cats.

This gorgeous little noodle boy is Freddy and he’s looking for his forever home.

Freddy is a 4-5 year old male ferret and he’s a total cuddle bug 🥰

🌡️ in good health. Not neutered or vasectomised

🐱 Freddy does not get on with other ferrets so will need to be kept individually

👶 can live with children over 8 years

🏡 would like an indoor home but could be transitioned to live outside in a suitable enclosure in warmer weather

There’s so much doom and gloom in the world these days, so we would love to hear from anyone who has adopted from the Sanctuary or has had a really memorable experience with us 💜

We have adopted and long term fostered out many hundreds of animals over the lifetime of the Sanctuary and we are incredibly lucky that so many of these adopters keep in contact with us with updates, even many years later.

Community outreach is also a hugely important part of what Hallswood does so we’d love to hear from anyone who has had a positive experience when they’ve called the Sanctuary for help, when they’ve held a fundraising event for us, when we’ve visited schools, residential homes and community projects, and the many other facets of what it is to be a community 🙂

💜 🐶 FOR ADOPTION - Bruno, 10 year old male Staffy x Jack Russell Terrier DOG, CAT & CHILD FRIENDLY🐶 💜

It’s difficult not to over hype up just how fantastic Bruno is, but it’s fair to see he’s a real favourite at the Sanctuary.

He came to us via our vet, when they - along with another local vet had refused to put him to sleep*.

He is such a goofy, loving boy. Once he knows you, all he will want is cuddles and lots of them!

Our staff and volunteers think he would suit an active home (with children would be great) with a good sized garden where he can have a play and run about with his humans - he loves to play fetch 🙂

🐶 is selective with other dogs. A dog free home would suit him best

🐹 ADOPTED - Moon, 5 month old male Syrian Hamster 🐹

Moon has come to us via another local reacue.

He’s a sociable little fellow and is still young, so should adjust and bond with his adopted quickly.

🌡️ No health conditions

🏠 Will need an enclosure that is at least 100x50cm in dimension and lots of enrichment

🥦 Will need a balanced diet that includes a complete nugget, along with a fresh diet of vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and legumes

🐶 Can live with other animals as long as they have no access to his enclosure

🧒 Can live with sensible older children who have experience with small animals

💜🐱 FOR ADOPTION - Spot, 10 month old male tabby kitten 🐱💜

Spot and Dark have come on a long way since arriving at the Sanctuary - they were both very shy, but thanks to their wonderful foster family, they are now both very loving kittens who love lots of fuss and attention.

Dark will reach out with her paws to ask for cuddles and Spot loves to sit on your lap.

The kittens can go together or separately.

They are to be rehomed as indoor cats or with access to a catio.

💜🐱 FOR ADOPTION - Gonzo, 1-2 year old female black & white cat🐱💜

A lot of you will remember the awful state that poor Gonzo arrived in, along with 27 other cats from a hoarding situation.

Gonzo had a ruptured eye that was removed by our vet as an emergency, the morning after she arrived. She also had a large hernia that was repaired when she was neutered.

Gonzo felt instant relief and her gorgeous personality started to shine through very quickly.

Considering Gonzo had spent most of her short life in awful conditions, she is a calm and confident cat who absolutely loves having a fuss.

She has taken to domestic life so well, thanks to the care she’s received from her foster mum, and she is now more than ready to find her new home.

It’s absolutely baffled us as to why Lily and George are still looking for a home.

They’re a mother and son bonded pair who have the sweetest natures and have a lot of love to give, but they’ve spent nearly 8 months in one of our catteries and they’ve had no enquiries.

💜🐱 ADOPTED - Tom Tom, 8 year old male ginger and white tabby cat 🐱💜

Tom Tom is a a firm favourite with staff and volunteers and will be an amazing addition to almost any home. The ideal home with an older retired person or couple where he can be the centre of attention.

He is a very placid, kind natured cat and is very undemanding.

Ton Tom doesn’t particularly likes to be picked up but he loves a cuddle on your lap and has a wonderful purr.
