The word is out – Time Fur Change opened its doors a few short weeks ago, and we couldn’t be happier! A huge thank you to Evening News 24 for spreading the news and to all our wonderful customers and followers who have already shown us so much love.

Time Fur Change isn’t just a grooming salon – it’s a place for all the dog lovers out there to ask questions, get real grooming advice, and, of course, enjoy plenty of adorable dog photos. I’ll be sharing regular tips, Q&As, and updates on all things dog-related, so stay tuned!

Always so lovely seeing such amazing feedback! Can't wait to see Willow again soon 💕

Willow had a little pamper this afternoon at Time Fur Change Pet Grooming at chedgrave. Willow has come home super soft and less hairy (well the groomers wasn't less hairy) 🤣. Highly recommended and very happy with the love and care willow had. Will upload after picture. Willow definitely left her hair everywhere clearly the reason why we call her fluffy cloud.

Grooming a husky is all about managing that incredible coat and keeping them feeling fresh. Huskies have a thick double coat that sheds heavily, especially during coat-blowing season, so regular de-shedding helps keep them comfortable and your home a little less fluffy.

Last week, we had the gorgeous Willow join us for a full de-shed, and the transformation was amazing. Her beautiful apricot colouring along her back became more pronounced, and her coat was left feeling glossy and soft.

Willow’s owners let us know that she isn’t a fan of having her nails trimmed, but with lots of patience, encouragement, and tasty treats, we managed to get a couple done. Hopefully, this is the start of her building full trust in us. She also treated us to a little sing-a-long and plenty of cuddles – we can’t wait to see her again soon.

⚠️ WARNING: ADDER BITES IN DOGS ⚠️

We’ve been informed that a local dog in the area has recently been bitten by an adder. As we enter the warmer months, it’s important for all dog owners, walkers, and pet professionals to stay vigilant. Adders (the UK’s only venomous snake) are most active in spring and summer, especially in heathland, woodland edges, and coastal areas.

Signs Your Dog May Have Been Bitten
🐾 Sudden yelp or distress
🐾 Swelling, particularly around the face or limbs
🐾 Pain and tenderness at the bite site
🐾 Puncture wounds (though these may be hard to spot)
🐾 Lethargy or weakness
🐾 Pale gums and drooling
🐾 Vomiting or signs of shock (in severe cases)

What To Do If Your Dog Is Bitten
🚨 Stay calm – Panic can make the situation worse for both you and your dog.
🚨 Carry your dog if possible – Reduce movement to slow venom spread.
🚨 Seek veterinary help immediately– Call ahead so they can prepare for your arrival and advise.

When Are Adder Bites More Common?
🐍 Adders are most active between March and October, particularly on warm, sunny days when they bask in open areas.
🐍 Dogs are most at risk in woodlands, moorlands, sand dunes, and grassy areas where adders may be hiding.
🐍 Bites often happen when a dog accidentally disturbs a snake by sniffing or stepping too close.

How Can You Prevent Adder Bites?
✔️ Keep your dog on a lead in high-risk areas.
✔️ Stick to clear paths and avoid long grass or undergrowth.
✔️ Train your dog to recall in case you spot an adder.
