Alas my road trip to ski and be merry has come to its end and I am back in work mode from tomorrow

NEW SERVICE ALERT!
I am now adding Pelvic Scoring to my list of services. This is a pre-breeding tool for heifers that ideally is combined with an ultrasound scan to ensure replacement heifers are fit, suitable and ready for service. Pelvic scoring is NOT about selecting heifers with the largest pelvic area. What is IS useful for is selecting out heifers with abnormally shaped or abnormally small pelvises that would predispose to dystocia, and are traits that ideally are not kept within the herds genetics.

Its done using the tool shown below, a rice pelvimeter and is a non-invasive method per re**um. Feel free to message for any questions about the procedure, timing, rationale etc.

Ideally its performed at age 12-15 months. It is further advised to perform this within 30-60 days of intended breeding when combined with a repro ultrasound to look for diameter of the uterus and structures on the o***y. For example, the presence of a corpus luteum is a reliable marker of onset of puberty and thus greater likelihood of reproductive success.

Pricing:
On its own - £5/head (including interpretation!)
With a repro ultrasound check - £8/head

Remember it's not just for pregnancy, I can give information on ovarian dynamics, current cycle phases, and uterine health. This is especially useful for cows not seen bulling, potential embryo recips, and animals at the start of synch programs
