‼️UPDATE‼️

Very long overdue update😅

As most of you know, I finished work at the start of the year to go on maternity leave and 6 months ago we welcomed our gorgeous baby boy, Beau Maximus🩵

Although I had this as my personal business (Elle’s Happy Paws) I also had A-S K9 Supplies with my partner where we made equipment for dogs such as leads and collars.

We made the decision to expand A-S K9 to offer not only a bigger range of products, but also training and different classes.
These classes and training sessions will begin in early 2026.

Due to this, I have decided to close down Elle’s Happy Paws. I want to thank all the clients I had during my time, each dog taught me something different and I’ll never forget them.

If anyone would like to carry on following our journey you can find us on Facebook and Instagram A-S K9 Supplies

While we won’t be offering walks or drop ins like I did as EHP, we will be offering a range of services for both pet and working dogs from the new year☺️

Again, a massive thank you to everyone for your support - it will always mean the world to me🩷💙

Hugo (client) and Arlo (my personal dog) on their walk through the woods today🥰🪵

Both dogs did amazing with loose lead walking, Hugo using a Halti lead and Arlo on a prong collar🙌🏻

Regardless of the tools I use with my own dogs, I will always follow what my clients prefer for their pooches as long as the tool is being used correctly and safely.
Having a dog walker can be nerve wracking for a dog to start with so I like to follow their usual routines to make them feel more comfortable and relaxed during our time together☺️

Our close knit club over at JUK9 - Dog Training Services have suffered a huge loss after hearing the news of Gunner’s passing yesterday afternoon.
When you have a club like ours, created and molded together by someone as special as Jess, it means we all feel each other’s pain.

Gunner’s passing has impacted each of us in different ways. Anyone who knows me will know I love nothing more than getting as close as possible to the dogs with a camera, capturing them in their elements. Gunner was the only dog I truly feared and was wary around - purely because he was trained to an impeccable standard and always did his job brilliantly.

He made it to 13 1/2 years old and those around him always made sure he was living his best life and we know he enjoyed every moment until the very end.

I wish for Gunner to rest peacefully and enjoy his life on the other side, putting the fear into god and tearing apart as many bad guys as he wishes🧡🕊️🌈

Earlier on in the year a good friend of mine ( ) and I were traveling down to our group training session discussing dog training and different analogies and ways to make things simpler for owners🐾

We came up with this theory/ideology of filling up a bucket with a hole in and thinking of the bucket as a dog’s brain🐶🪣

I hope my little picture and information slides explain well enough for people to understand the importance of dog training and the effects that under and over training can have on a dog ! 🐕🩷💙

One of the reasons I started my dog walking business was to be able to earn money whilst also spending as much time with my own dogs as possible and I’m so happy that it’s now at a point where it can start taking place.

Introducing one of my clients to each of my dogs on separate occasions went 1000% better than I could ever imagine. I’ll always make sure my client dog is happy with me and has spent enough time with me for me to navigate and decide if they’d be a good suit for my two and Hugo here definitely is.

He met Arlo Tuesday and Skadi today, getting on brilliantly. Using an enclosed field was the best idea as it let both dogs have the space to do their own thing as well as get acquainted and play when they chose to.

It’s really shown me personally how well behaved my two can be as well and how accommodating they are to new things and I couldn’t be prouder🐕🩷💙

✨Meet The Pack✨

Meet Teddy, the loveable GSD who’s very vocal (what shepherd isn’t?🤣) and absolutely LOVES a game of fetch in the garden. And I mean he would go all day with no stopping if you let him🙈

I always have a soft spot for the big dogs, especially Shepherds and oh my word isn’t he stunning!😍

When owning and training a dog it is so important to keep consistent with everything!

It can be difficult, no one is saying it’s easy, but making sure everyone involved with the training and raising of the dog is on the same page makes a HUGE difference.

Keep consistent by:

🐾 Using the same commands for each trick/behaviour (eg, “down” means lay down and “off” means to get off the sofa. So many people use “down” / “get down” for both and the dog ends up confused)

🐕 Have the same boundaries (ie, not having one person in the household allow the dog on the sofa but others don’t)

🐾 Have equal 1-1 time training and bonding with the dog to avoid any “favouritism” from the dog between household members and any “he listens to my partner but not me”

🐕 Keep some kind of routine to your training (keeping up with regular training supports your dog in retaining the information you’ve taught them and allowing space for new tricks or behaviours to be learnt. Always remember to go back to basics every now and then - dogs aren’t robots!)

🐾 If you decide to use hand signals, keep them the same for each separate command and take the time to condition your dog to these

There is so much more but this is just a small list of basics to help support owners/handlers in their training journeys!🐕🩷💙

Hope everyone is enjoying bonfire night!🔥🎇🎆

As always, keep your dogs safe but also think of all the training opportunities that’s possible tonight! Exposure to new sounds, sights, smells, etc. Make things as fun and positive as possible for them and keep the rewards coming!
