A good team effort clogging to recent veterinary radiographs, horse making huge improvements after the 1st shoeing cycle, hopefully we can transition to normal shoes next time!

Fantastic day yesterday at the Laminitis Seminar kindly ran by the BFBA at Stonleigh park. Covering Equine metabolic syndrome as well as the use of Clogs and Hoof casts in cases and how to apply them. Led by a mixture of Vetrinary Surgeons and industry leading farriers.

Thank you very much to all those who ran the event, hopefully seeing you all again at the next one

On the x-rays today 🩺🥼
This horse was suffering from a damaged check legament in their off fore partly caused by the low pasterns resulting in caudal limb lameness.
Their toes were brought back as much as possible, advised by vet onsite with ex rays as to bring the point of breakover closer to the centre of rotation. This relieves tension from the flexor tendons which run down the back of the leg.
The shoe was fitted with length and width at the heels to provide caudal hoof support.
Hope to see improvement over the coming weeks.
