Looking forward to next week, one of the best events in our calendar year, we had 80 entries for this 16 dog AV Retriever Stake. We have some great Judges Steve Cullis Paula Cullis Sharon Di**le and Jemma Hendley.

We have a great team of guns provided by Robert Smart and Keeper Matt Smith who loves supporting field trials.

Running Card will be published in a few days, deadline for payment of entry fees is midnight tonight.

Next week the Dukeries - Notts Gundog Club host our 2nd AV Novice Retriever Field Trial at Bretby Park, South Derbyshire.

The Dukeries held our 16 Dog Open AV Spaniel ex Cocker Field Trial at Scotland Wood Farm near Haselbech Northamptonshire/ Leicestershire border bkp of Neil Clarke.

This was a new ground, assisted by Sophie Harris as Steward of the Beat, we are very grateful to Sophie for coming to the rescue of Spaniel Field Trials for our Dukeries - Notts Gundog Club .

Dukeries - Notts Gundog Club will be hosting Kennel Club Field Trial Regulations Seminar for Retrievers at Elkersley Village Hall, Elkersley near Retford, Notts DN22 8AJ 9.30pm on Sunday 8th February 2026. Limited to 15 places.

Cost £45 includes lunch, tea and coffee from 9.15am

The draw for the Dukeries AV Open Spaniel ex Cocker Field Trial 15th November has been emailed to those who entered, we have 1 reserve that's a total of 17 dogs.

Payment £60 member or £90 non member is required by 8th November to confirm your run.

Non Payment by 6pm on 8th November results in your run being offered to next available reserve.

Late entries will be accepted for reserve list before 8th November.

Great day at Upper Helmsley Sporting bkp of Shaun Chamberlain hosting the Dukeries - Notts Gundog Club 12 Dog Open AV HPR Championship Qualifier Judges Phil Pearson (A) Dawn Elrington (B) Chief Steward Stewart North organised by HPR Field Trial Secretary Dr Robert Suchet Kaye

Walked up in a mixture of crops, 6 dogs made a 2nd run and 2 dogs finished the Trial.
