Claire and Kevin's wedding was certainly memorable! They were determined to get married on the beach in Coll - quite rightly, given they'd already had to change plans. So that's what happened......amidst wind, rain and a bit of snow thrown in! What a great group of people they have around them, who embraced the weather and the spirit of the occasion wholeheartedly. Vows were exchanged and everyone went back to the hotel, where hair was redone, calm restored and the full ceremony, which they'd worked on so hard, was enjoyed in the warmth. I loved it all and am so glad that I was a part of this wonderful occasion in a very special place. I wish Mr and Mrs Keen that sort of fun throughout a long married life together.

What an amazing start to the year! Working with Sam and Soraya was a joy from start to finish. From England to Scotland, from Autumn 2020 in Glen Etive to Spring 2021 at The Quiraing in Skye, from many guests to their fabulous elopement, they were such a pleasure to plan with. They ended up with a day you can only dream of - no crowds and sunshine in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. I will always think of the groom as Del Boy Sam now. Little Iranian touches to respect Soraya's heritage made this a truly special occasion. I wish them, and their baby when s/he arrives, a peaceful life of great happiness together. Looking forward to better photos from The Caryls.

The warmth of these two families matched the incredible weather when, at last, I was able to marry Arleen and Finlay. The garden at Kirnan Estate was a perfect setting. An adaptation of 'He Never Leaves The Seat Up' by Arleen's sister was hilarious. Ducks being chased by the ring bearer, Nessie the bulldog, through the legal declarations made it all the more fun. Thanks to the lads for the help with music. It was such a pleasure to work with this lovely couple and I wish them many happy years together. A perfect return to conducting weddings after far too long.

From the first call from Chicago, being part of this couple's commitment ceremony was such a privilege. A select group travelled from Sweden and the US to enjoy Edinburgh for a few days, culminating in a beautiful ceremony at Prestonfield House. What a day! Not in the photos here, unfortunately, but stealing the day with her Walt Whitman reading and excellent ring handling, was Michael's beautiful daughter, Micaela. But it was the sincerity of the words these two people wrote from their hearts that made me so very lucky to be part of it all. Thank you for asking me and my most sincere wishes to you both for a long and happy future together.

My first visit to Newhall Estate was the most perfect day. Working with Raphael and Charles was a total pleasure and the work they put into their ceremony certainly paid off. Three beautiful readings, a band warming, drinking from the quaich and a handfasting by eight people special to the grooms blended together into a truly beautiful occasion. The walled garden and lack of rain was the icing on the cake. Wishing this delightful couple many years of joy together, with their bunny and their bees.

Appin Village Hall was brilliantly decorated in blue and white when these childhood sweethearts tied the knot. Rain didn't stop the smiles and laughter and the reading of "These I Can Promise" brought a tear to many an eye. I loved working with Victoria and Scott and wish them every happiness in the rest of their lives together.
