Five Towns dog walking Trusted local pet care

08/06/2026

Just a quick update from me at Five Towns Dog Walking and Pet Care.

I am going to be out of action for a week or so while I recover from a small operation, so walks will be on hold for the time being. I am hoping to be back up and running again very soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I really appreciate all your support and I will keep you updated.

JACK IS BACK OUT ON HIS ADVENTURES 🐾☀️

After a couple of very warm days where walks had to be swapped for cooler pop-in visits and shorter toilet breaks, Jack was very happy to get back out for a proper stroll today.

Keeping dogs safe in hot weather always comes first, even when they would happily keep going all day! Today was much more comfortable and Jack made the most of every minute with plenty of sniffing, tail wagging and enjoying the fresh air again. 🖤

As the weather gets warmer, walks may sometimes need to be adjusted depending on the temperature, but comfort and safety will always come first for every dog in our care.

Trying to get a nice group photo of the dogs… and there’s always one that decides it’s their moment to shine 🤣🐶

Safe to say not everybody understood the assignment today!

That said, this is what we love most about dog walking — every dog has their own personality, their own little quirks and their own way of making us laugh on every walk ❤️

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

With the weather getting warmer, we’re making the most of cooler, shaded woodland walks to keep dogs comfortable, happy and safe 🐾🌳

These two loved their little adventure today through the woods where there’s plenty of shade, fresh air and lots of sniffing opportunities!

During hotter weather, your dog’s safety always comes first. If temperatures go above 24 degrees, walks may be swapped for a pop-in visit instead to make sure your dog has fresh water, a toilet break, company and stays comfortable at home 🐶💧

“Early morning dog walks really are the best part of the day 🐾

Quiet paths, fresh air, happy dogs and no one else around apart from the occasional squirrel chase attempt 😂

Are you an early morning dog walker or more of an evening stroll person?

These two definitely enjoyed their morning adventure today ☀️

I’ve still got a few weekday dog walking and pop-in visit spaces available around WF6, Altofts, Whitwood and surrounding areas.”

🐾 Home alone doesn’t have to mean bored all day 🐾

Freya here loves her little pop-in visits — a quick walk, a sniff around, and plenty of fuss before heading back in to relax.

Pop-in visits with a short walk are perfect for dogs who need a break while you’re out. They get a toilet stop, fresh air, a leg stretch and some company, which can make a big difference to their day.

Ideal for older dogs, younger dogs, or those who don’t need a long walk but still enjoy a bit of routine and attention.

A shorter walk, but plenty of sniffs 🐾

Buddy and Freya had a slightly shorter walk today because of the warmer weather, but they still had plenty of time to potter, sniff and enjoy themselves.

Sniffing is so good for dogs. It keeps their brains busy, lets them explore the world properly and often leaves them calmer and more settled afterwards.

Sometimes a slower, sniffier walk is just what they need.

Why use a dog pram? 🐾

For some dogs, it’s not about being lazy. It’s about making sure they can still enjoy fresh air, company and the sights and smells of a walk without overdoing it.

Dog prams can be ideal for older dogs, smaller dogs, nervous dogs, or dogs recovering from injury or illness.

They still get to be part of the world, just at a pace that suits them.

Message me to book gentle dog walks or fresh-air outings in Normanton and surrounding areas.
