It’s spooky season here’s some MAINSTREAM dog food truths. 👻

- ‘Made with real chicken (or any meat)’ can legally mean only 3-8% of the whole food contains that meat. It’s got next to nothing of the meat in, unlike the 80% like ours which your dogs needs to thrive. The meat is usually rendered scrap cooked at high heat to be made into a dry powder destroying any nutrients.
- ‘Natural flavour’ means it comes from an animal or plant source and it purely used for taste and smell to make your dog eat it, not nutrition.
- ‘Grain free’ doesn’t mean species appropriate food. It just means they switch corn with peas or lentils or potatoe starch, which is high in carbs and dogs struggle to digest.
- ‘Vet recommended’ just means some vets have endorsed it, it’s not been tested or proven better. Many of these brands are owned by pharmaceutical companies that rely on marketing not nutrition to sell….
