16.2 8yo wb Gelding by wish upon star

Has done dressage pole clinics hacking, show jumping schooling. Big moving powerful horse who gives a lovely ride, beautful balanced paces not suitable for a complete novice as he is a true competition horse. Would make a HOYS Large riding horse, go up the levels in dressage or excel in any sphere . Must be seen to be appreciated .

Mothers dream, PC allrounder the ideal small grass roots small event horse, HOYS working hunter .

Maverick is a 5yo (2020) approx 15.1 buckskin Connemara gelding - imported from Ireland he has done days hunting, cross country training, days to the woods, fun rides, clinics, showjumping training and unaffiliated dressage.

Maverick has good conformation, plenty of bone and good movement and Connemara pony traits. Making him incredibly versatile.

Maverick had a long winter off due to loss of owners other horse and has come back into work brilliantly - breezing round courses of 90cm schooling nicely on the flat and proving bold and safe out hacking .
Last summer when in full fitness and work maverick was xc schooling 90-1m and 120cm in the arena with a professional and he didn’t miss a beat. He has recently been schooling round 90cm courses and 1.05 fences loose schooling over 120cm.

To jump maverick is keen but never strong,. He’s honest as they come and very forgiving . He will step up for a stronger more confident rider or slow down for someone less capable however due to his age I wouldn’t say he’s a complete novices horse.

Mav will hack first or last alone or in company, he can have a look at new things as most young horses would but is super safe and responsive as soon as you put your leg on and support him he takes the riders confidence . Not strong or silly, brilliant in open spaces

Turns out with others mares or geldings, currently in during the day out at night but would quite happily live out . Front shoes with no known health issues or vices. Up to date with physio, dentals , vaccinations and worming.

Open to view and vet - no loans or trials Allthough a short trial period at his home yard could be arranged

Incredibly busy weekend competing - with amazing results -

Two days Hertfordshire County Show saw Firelight Tonto Win and take reserve champion at his first ever show .

Novice Fell gelding Greenholme Mario a little overwhelmed by the crowds at his first big event took 5th place and was the judges favourite in the class just a shame he didn’t perform like he does at home

Sunday SD red Gambler 2nd and reserve champions LIHS coloured performance pony

Bucks Counties Spectacular Show
Lakai and Barracks hacker Jack 3rd odd coloured 1st open geldings but sadly missed their championship

Super day out at CHAPS SE Regional Showing Barleylands EC pre Windsor run out for the boy and he didn’t disappoint . What a haul of rosettes and sashes.

please feel free to message with any enquiries and to book in to avoid disappointment I can’t squeeze anymore in but can pop people on a waiting list incase there’s a cancellation . we’re a small team and like to be able to treat every horse and pony as an individual and I’m also abiding by my backs riding limits, too much time in the saddle and I pay for it the next day 😬 It’s been a whole year this week since I broke my legs .

I’m really bad at posting on here 🥴

I love following ponies that have come through the yard . This beautful girl was sent to us by her breeder on sales livery and to be backed for whilst she was here .. everything was done in the time scale of her livery package and she was delivered to her new home .

Cable and her new mum are away and doing amazingly with the support of the super Kelly Jones the improvement in such a short time is incredible from lightly backed to working beautifully in such a short time. I can’t wait to see how they get on next show season 😍
