People wonder why I start my day and hour ahead of opening the salon....Well it's so I can catch up on marking my students work. As well as my one to one student, we have a dedicated group of existing groomers from Wales England and Scotland at the moment completing their Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management with us on a Fast Track Scheme.

I love seeing others develop and have had the privilege of seeing this young lady gain first her level 3 diploma and then her level 3 educators award. She is now going to be sharing her knowledge with others well done hazelhttps://www.facebook.com/share/1TtDXzUqYM/

Hazel has been grooming since 2017 and is delighted to be qualified to deliver a range of iPET Network dog grooming qualifications after completing her Educators award in the Canine and feline sector with Chris at the

Based in the beautiful Ayrshire coast of Scotland Hazel will be focusing on one to one training with students as much as possible.

Accommodation will also be available if desired to explore this stunning part of Scotland during down time from training.

Hazel also has a BSc(Hons) in Podiatry from Glasgow Caledonian University and worked with NHS Scotland as a Podiatrist for 20 years. It was perhaps only natural then that she would develop an interest in the nail care of dogs and how nail length can have a detrimental effect on their balance and posture.

Hazel was proud to be a finalist in the 2024 Pet Industry Federations Innovation Awards with a training product she has developed to help students and dog owners learn how to cut dog's nails. She is hoping to develop this further next year.

Hazel has a Lakeland terrier called Betty and a Staffie cross called Rollo.

She loves exploring the Ayrshire coast with them and loves motorbikes and sidecars.
If you would like to join us as a Training Provider to deliver the qualification please get in touch.

Dogs love routine, but sometimes we have to alter that routine to suit them. This is something we teach those spending time completing their Level 3 Diploma with us. This gent is not a fan of the dryer, so we preclip him to help reduce his drying time along with the standard happy hoody to reduce the sound level for him

This is an example of a wool mix coat that is overdue for a groom. The top layers can appear brushed through, but as we go deeper in, it's knitted and matted. The fairest thing we can do for a dog in this instance is to clip under the coat and allow it to start again. It doesn't take long for a coat to start doing this, and it can cause health issues for the skin as well as the coat. It can also cause problems with circulation, provide a haven for parasites and yeast issues.
