Coco's 2nd birthday. Instead of celebrating, this brave girl was fighting for her life 🥹🥲

After welcoming 10 beautiful, healthy puppies on Friday 22nd May, we hoped Coco could finally enjoy a well-earned rest.
Just two days later, she delivered a stillborn puppy. It was heartbreaking to watch her lie beside her baby, seemingly wondering what she had done wrong.
A few days later, while out on a walk, Coco suddenly collapsed. She was rushed straight to the vets, where we received devastating news. Coco still had two puppies inside her that had sadly not survived, and she had developed a severe infection that had spread into her abdomen. The vets warned us that her chances of survival were not high.
We were absolutely heartbroken. After everything Coco had already been through, this was the last thing we expected.

What made the day even more heartbreaking was that it was also Coco's 2nd birthday. Instead of celebrating, this brave girl was fighting for her life.
Miraculously, Coco refused to give up. Emergency surgery revealed that her womb had ruptured and needed to be removed. After intensive veterinary care, strong medication, and a night away from her puppies, Coco returned to Last Chance Animal Rescue just 24 hours later.
The moment she saw her puppies, she went straight to them, cleaning, comforting, and feeding them as if she had never been away.
Coco is the definition of a Supermum. ❤️
We are incredibly grateful to have stood by her side and witnessed her strength, resilience, and unconditional love for her babies.
Unfortunately, her emergency treatment has left us with a substantial veterinary bill, and we desperately need your support to help Coco and her puppies.

🚨 Urgent: Permanent Foster Needed for Betty & Dave 🚨

Would you, or someone you know, be able to offer a loving foster home to Betty and Dave?

These two sweet senior dogs are desperately in need of a permanent foster placement. Both have weakness in their back legs. Dave has a history of disc disease, which is being managed with medication, along with some mild muscle wastage. Betty doesn’t have a diagnosed spinal condition, but she does have delayed paw placement in her hind legs.

Despite their challenges, Betty and Dave are a gentle, affectionate pair. They are good with other dogs and would be best suited to a home with older, calm children.

Ideally, we’re looking for a foster home nearby, or someone willing to travel to our New Romney or Edenbridge branches, as they will require regular vet visits.

Last Chance will cover all medical care, food, and supplies all they need is a safe, comfortable home where they can be cared for and loved 💜

Joe hasn't had the best luck when it comes to finding his forever home and has sadly found himself back at Last Chance.
Joe doesn't ask for much in life all he wants is someone to love him as much as he'll love them. He is a super affectionate, cuddly boy who adores human company and will happily spend his days snuggled up beside you. He's also quite the chatterbox and loves to tell you all about his day!
Joe has had some previous medical issues, including a hip that was broken in the past and healed incorrectly. As a result, he has a slight limp, but it certainly doesn't stop him from enjoying life. To keep him safe and comfortable, Joe will need to be an indoor-only cat, with possible supervised access to a secure catio.
This lovely boy deserves a second chance at happiness. Could you be the one to finally give Joe the loving forever home he's been waiting for
