A little reminder from Barkington Spa

As a one-to-one grooming salon, we don’t use holding kennels or cages. This means that once your dog has finished their groom, they’re ready to head home for cuddles! 💛

When we message to say your dog is ready, we kindly ask that they are collected as soon as possible. Prompt collection helps us keep to schedule and ensures every dog enjoys a calm, relaxed environment throughout their visit.

We completely understand that unexpected delays can happen, so if you’re running late, please just let us know as soon as you can.

Unfortunately, if late collections become a regular issue, we may need to introduce a late collection fee in the future.

This is Juno. ❤️

Juno has always been absolutely terrified of scissors and grooming. To some people, a dog as frightened as Juno can come across as badly behaved, but I truly believe that a terrified dog is never being naughty or nasty... they're simply afraid.

Fear deserves patience, kindness and understanding, not pressure.

With lots of time, gentle handling and trust-building at every appointment, alongside all the amazing work Juno's mum has been putting in at home, today felt like a real turning point.

Juno was brave, sweet and an absolute pleasure to groom. He still has a little way to go, but seeing his confidence grow is everything.

This is exactly why I love my job so much. It's never just about grooming, it's about helping dogs learn that they are safe, that they will be listened to, and that they can trust again.

Watching the progress of this darling little boy has been so heartwarming, and I couldn't be prouder of him.

Juno, you're the sweetest of boys. ❤️🐾 ###
