We’re so excited to say that we’re now welcoming new clients at Barkington Spa! ✂️🐶

If your dog is in need of a freshen up, a full groom, or just a little pamper, we’d love to hear from you.

All grooms are priced per breed, so please pop us a message and we’ll happily give you a quote tailored to your dog.

With over 35 years of grooming experience, Helen provides calm, caring, and professional grooming, your dog is always in safe hands with her 💛

As we head into show season with our newest member of the pack, our diary is already starting to fill up and spaces are limited, so if you’d like to get booked in, we recommend messaging us sooner rather than later!

❄️ Snowy Morning at Barkington Spa ❄️

We’ve had a lot of snow overnight, and as many of you know, Mow Cop can get pretty rough in these conditions.

The roads are drivable, but please take extra care if you’re heading out today. Your safety and your pups’ always comes first.

If you have an appointment with us today and would prefer to reschedule due to the weather, we completely understand! Just pop us a message and we’ll get you sorted with no problem at all.

Stay safe, keep warm, and give your dogs an extra cuddle from us 🤍❄️

⚠️ Changes coming to Barkington Spa ⚠️

As we head into 2026, we want to share a few important updates with you all 🐾✨

From next year, Helen will be grooming solo, with Maddy stepping back from grooming to focus on the growing orders for Skye’s Treat Plot 🍪🐶. Maddy will continue to handle all bookings and admin.

Because of this restructure:
• We’ll no longer be offering evening or weekend appointments
• We’ll be limiting the size of dogs we can take on
• Overall availability will be more limited

From February, we’ll also be opening our diary to new clients.
To make sure our existing clients don’t miss out, we strongly recommend booking your appointments ahead for the year to secure your usual grooming slots and stay on your regular cycle.

Our 2026 diary is now open, and advance bookings are available 💜

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and has a wonderful New Year ahead!

As we move into 2026, there will be a few changes at Barkington Spa. From next year, Helen will be grooming solo, with Maddy stepping back from grooming to focus on the growing orders for Skye’s Treat Plot 🐶🍪 (thank you all so much for the support!). Maddy will still be handling all bookings and admin.

This means we’ll no longer be offering evening or weekend appointments, and we’ll be limiting the size of dogs we can take on.

Because of this, our 2026 diary is now officially open, and we’re offering the chance to secure your appointment slots for the year ahead. Booking in advance is the best way to guarantee your place and keep your dog on their usual grooming cycle 🐾💜

Barkington Spa is thrilled to be sponsoring the Pooches With Pride dog show at Alsager Pride tomorrow – Saturday 2nd August!

🐶 Join us at 1pm for a celebration of fabulous four-legged friends in all their glory, judged by our very own Helen (poodle mum, proud ally, and lover of all things fluffy).
