Often called viral haemorrhagic disease, it is seen frequently in unvaccinated rabbits because it spreads quickly through direct and indirect contact with infected rabbits.

The best way to protect your pet is with regular vaccinations throughout their life. This not only protects them but also decreases the spread of disease.

If you have a pet rabbit and need to check if their vaccinations are up to date, or need to get them booked in, call the clinic and speak to a member of the team.

Please be careful with all Equines who are over weight, prone to laminitis or have any conditions which increase the risk of laminitis. If caught early we can treat laminitis! Thanks to our💥 NEW in-house LAMP PCR machine 💥We now offer same day strangles results in only 45 minutes!⏰️ We can only obtain a sample through a guttural pouch wash which can all be done at your yard or in our hospital.🏥

What to look out for ⬇️
➕High temperature (normal is between 37.5° - 38.5°)
️➕️Nasal discharge
➕Swollen lymph nodes
️➕️Loss of appetite
➕️Lethargy or depression
